Marketing.......on a Budget.....

Nope! Neither MOO nor Forethought require E&O to sell their Med Supps. Forethought doesn't even require it to sell their FE plans.

If you had your contracts with me you would have known that Mike. :D

When did moo stop requiring E&O? They did when I contracted. I do have a dental contract with you. ;)

by month 4 I want the insurance biz to be self-sufficient

Well, I hate to burst your bubble . . .

I suppose it depends on what you mean by self sufficient. Enough to cover your business costs AND pay your monthly living expenses or just enough to cover the cost of your business?

Yes I know and I thank you profusely.

The question on the contract is poorly worded in my opinion. When one reads it, it sounds like they are requiring E&O but actually they are just asking.

Many agents have made the same mistake.

I never make mistakes so I don't know why I even need the E&O. :)

The top skills are about networking for introductions and calling. Old-fashioned but as others have said, it doesn't cost a lot and it still works.

I have yet to know of anyone who made it on passive marketing by itself.

If you want to warm up your calls and have a little budget, try sending your biz card in the mail ahead of your call. No brochure or letter, just a biz card in a stationery envelope. It's funny how the curiosity engages them. Some will actually ask their partner or spouse if they know who your are. How's that for marketing. They are talking about you before you call. I admin it isn't much, but anything that gives you an edge on a cold call is a help, in my opinion. At least some additional ones might listen to the first 10 seconds of what you have to say, instead of not listening at all. Then it's up to you to use the 10 seconds wisely.
