Midyear-2008 Lead Company Update

I LOVE that show on BBC - all these people with zero cooking experience simply up and decided to open a restaurant.

Gordon comes in and these places are normally filthy and disgusting

I'd love Gordon to coach new agents....can you imagine?

If you read the entire Thread, it was directed around Health Insurance Leads, Then MR. HTQ jumped in, and I proved they are Targeting P&C. I am glad he could put a spin on it.

Hmm, actually, I didn't realize this. I went back and read the opening post, still not sure I realize this. I agree with the general assessment for P&C leads from the same companies, except for say VIMO, where they only do health leads.

InsureMe, NetQuote, HTQ, etc, you can just almost say 'ditto' if looking for P&C leads.

Since you seem to have a problem with HTQ, can you share your experience with them? When was the last time you bought their leads? How many? What was your ROI on the leads?

Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with internet leads. You can do very well with them, but they are not slam dunks, instant successes. You have to nurture and caress them, they take time to develop, and you have to be willing to cut off lead sources when the quality drops (not for 1 or 2 days, but for extended periods of time), which means you have to monitor and track each lead source.

I have a good track record with lead sources others say are garbage, and not such a great track record with the 'premiere' lead companies. Partly because internet lead response is very geographical (i.e, large cities respond differently than rural areas, high value neighborhoods track differently then blue collar middle class, etc), and partly because I live and work in the Bay Area, and most premier lead sources are EXTREMELY oversold, and I don't like wasting my time or the clients time.

Give me someone who has 2 DUI's, a suspended license, and I'll get them insured at a reasonable rate. Nobody wants these leads, but the niche of them is extremely profitable. I then cross sell to the rest of the family.
