Monumental DM Program..

Is the price of the monumental DM in this thread...if not, how much is it per 1000? And if they do your DM, how many deals are u required to send to them??

Just Wondering!

It's about the same price if you did it through ILIAA but with ILIAA you can put the business through any of your carriers. I'm thinking Mon was 325 per thou and ILIAA is 335. Mon might be 300, not sure.

Monumental is $300 per 1000 piece mailer. You should put as much of the business as you can with the carrier doing the leads for you at a discount.

Yep! $300 per 1,000

I'm surprised that JD is having such a bad experience with them. I've been pretty smooth sailing with them the last two years. Prior to that they had a few problems.

What I do is a couple of lead drops through them and and then a couple through a mail house. I write Monumental on any cases where they are one of the best choices regardless of where the lead came from. I write other companies if Monumental is way out of the ballpark.

It works out fine that way. If you do ALL your lead drops through them I would pretty much write everything through them.

I would too if I were using their mail. You really can't use someone's mail and then not write the business with them. That's just wrong.

Everyone I talk to, except Newby, is having trouble with Monumental procedurewise. Someone here on the forums called them "amendment happy" and another said they were "legalistic". I wasn't the one that said those things. I did steal the amendment happy quote from whoever it was.

Just got off the phone with MSPM and they said they get a 2% return in my area with a full page and a 1% return with a half page, whatever that means, but the price is 465 per 1000, ouch. If the 2% is true than its almost like sending out out 2,000 for 465 is my reasoning...
The Iliaa, who's the mailers through?

Ok got the samples. $417 per 1,000 for the traditional mailer. The second full page is $454 per 1000 and its got the free memorial guide on it, can understand the increase in participation.
Why cant there be a mailer that says FINAL EXPENSE INSURANCE without mentioning any free **** or let them know an AGENT will be contacting them...

Thanks

Because the response rate would not be as high and apparently it's low enough already. It's up to you to see if those are real objections when you call or show up for an appointment and that's just sales.
If I were you I wouldn't dwell on that because then now it holds you back or becomes a stumbling block for you (when I say "you" I mean any agent as I'm not singling you out).

For instance: If you show up and they say "I didn't think anyone was coming", just acknowledge the objection "I understand Mr. Smith. I can get a little disgruntled myself when that happens, especially if it is one of my relatives. I'll only be a few minutes. At the end of the day you'll either be interested or you won't. Is that fair enough?"

You could of actually stopped at "a few minutes" to see if another objection was coming then continued. Remember you want objections. It's going to take an average of 5 before you get a sale.

I like to tell them that "this is a not a I want to think about it presentation" and "are they capable of making a decision?". After all if they need to talk to someone else then you are wasting your time which is a one-legged appointment. (I find this and ask after the warm-up) (again I use the phrase "is that fair enough?")

I wouldn't do this on every type of sale like an annuity or med sup but for FE there really isn't much to think about. They either see value and want it or they don't.
