Most Lucrative?

I agree but then I am really from Kentucky.

FOX News did a piece this morning on an 11 year old basketball phenom that plays on his high school VARSITY basketball team. He said when he made it to college ( 8 years from now) he wanted to go to Kentucky.. He was amazing, playing against high schoolers that were twice his height.

That is amazing, that kid is "just a kid" playing with guys much older.

Kentucky is a great choice and has a rich basketball heritage. If you look at the last 10 years they probably have one of the best winning records up there with Duke, and North Carolina.

Here is a poll that put them 4th out of the top 31 in the last 30 years.

Yea, I was wondering about the last 10 years, but they won it all last year and have the great history and heritage. I didn't know they have the best record all time based on wins. I would have thought it went to Duke or North Carolina.

If I had a kid that had a lot of talent in basketball, this would be one of my first choices to send him to check out the campus and try for scholarship. (Kentucky)

I don't trust the big 10, even though this is the conference I grew up watching. They are hot one year, then real crappy the next. They seem to only have these small windows of talent come in then puff..gone... It could be the recruiting. I am wagering both that and coaching. (minus MSU)

Always liked Tubby Smith. Seemed like a class guy. Now Cal is the posterboy for, "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying." But that is really the moniker for the whole sec.

Yeah, class guys always put playing their son ahead of the program and then lie avbout another player's illness so they can keep playing that son. That don't pass for class here.

Or how about being taken to court up in minneysota for backing out on a verbal agreement to hire an assistant coach? He lost that case in court and cost UM millions. That probably doesn't pass for class up there but I don't know.

tubby is a lying, lazy ass excuse of a human being that gets a pass from the media for one reason. And he is quick to play that card.

The fact that is a lousy basketball coach is the least of his problems.

I'm being nice because we are supposed to be here now.

UK has the most wins. Kansas is second. UNC is third. UJNC actually passed UK during the tubby years but that was restored shortly. Also because they hired their own tubby in Matt Doherty.

JD, I always though Tubby was a decent game coach but only an average recruiter. Obviously, you disagree. However, don't forget the Billy Gillispie detour either. Fortunately, they corrected that quickly.
