NEED: A "killer" Way to Set Appointments!

I am struggling getting appointments set on the phone. When I call someone who sent in a card for info on FE, I get a run around, or I don't remember sending in the card, or I thought they'd send me some info, or I'm not interested. ANY HELP? Once I get an appt., I can usually sell them. HELP!!!!

Call and ask a very simple question.....

"Are you dead yet? Am I to late?"

The conversation will probably go poorly from that point forward, but you'll have more fun with it.

Don't try to focus on if they remember sending the card in. I never even ask that.

Chances are they just thought they were getting free life ins through the govt because of what the card said.

Jdeasy does very well of setting appt from cards and I'm sure you can find some threads where he gives some pointers

That's a very good question.


To the OP, many agents (myself included) have had success knocking on the door of the person that sent in the card. It's difficult to deny sending something in when it's their handwriting. Agents also usually are less frightening in person and it can be easier to set an appointment.

Back to the point of the upline, how many times have these cards been worked?

If you having an issue over the phone with calling you Direct Mail Leads it's a good chance their receiving the mailer's out of the woodwork. A simple way to cross that bridge is to get a Turning 65 list and call them about a mailer they received about Final Expense..Chances are they received one, then go from there..Even if you did not mail it..From that point just "Listen."
