Never Sold It

I have a guy trying to get me to sell Fe insur. He showed how much he is making for working for L H . as I read this fourm not sure lh is the best company out there.do all the companies pay about the same ? And can you really expect to over 200 k in 2 years?

Anything is _possible_. $100,000 net year two is unlikely. Hard work and consistency are both important. However, the office you start at and lead cost are going to be just as important. You need training and hand holding to begin with. Someone that is going to teach you, that is honest with you. Someone telling you that there is even a chance at $200,000 year two is not that person. That check he showed you was from working rookies like you, not selling insurance. There was another LH recruiter on here, I do not remember his name, That I spoke to a couple of times. He seemed straight up.

Also, where ever you start is probably not going to be where you will stay. Pick a shop that is going to invest time and energy in you. Then work like a crazy person. Watch your cost, watch your cost, watch your cost.

Good luck

I know I got called out for making racial remarks on another thread recently so I am going to try and sugarcoat this as much as possible.

I have met two managers of LH and both of them were big black guys telling big black lies about everything from leads to production and everything in between.

Just as in any business where earned commissions are involved ask to see your friends w2's, 1099's or anthing else that might support his statements. I believe in calling a spade a spade and I believe your friend is a big fat, bold face liar.

So if the manager is white it was just a little white lie? And that is better?

Man, you is what you is.

Sure am glad you sugarcoated it. :err:

LH does a very good job, selling to the african/american community. And they have a very diverse agent force. I am color blind, so Just color me green.

I also work in california with golden memorial. Can you make 200k your second year?... yes. I have been with GM for over 10 years and yes you can make 200k in your second year. in my 10 years I have only seen a dozen or so people make that kind of money. And they were absolutely the hardest workers I have every seen Most were/are district or regional managers. As far as proof... that shouldnt be a problem most managers that recruit for gm use their 1099's to prove income along with lead cost. The most successfull agent that I have seen in the last 5 years posts on here sometimes under the name anyloan2. I think his website is finalexpensetrainer.com but im not 100% sure.

The real question is if YOU will do it! Selling final expense takes a ridiculous amount of hard work with a LOT of rejection. most agents dont write very much business because they are not willing to put in the time and effort. dont plan on writing a bunch of biz building an agency then kicking back ... it will never happen. Those that make 200k a year work just as hard now as when they first started. If not harder.

One good thing that you have going for you in california is that every single manager with GM still knocks on doors and works in the field. It does't matter if they write 500k a month as a regional or 100k a month as a district they still will take the time to show you everything they know.

Please dont waste their time! do not try it for a month rack up debt and leave the company high and dry. You really have to focus and give it 100% to make money!!!! its definitley not for everyone but if you can make it work there is nothing else like it.

you can do it!!!!

as far as cross selling goes.. in 10 years i have never sold any other product to my final expense clients. Never. Niether has a single gm agent that i know of including those making 200k a year.

GOOD LUCK!!!!
