Never Sold It

I am going to throw in my 2 cents for the record.

A couple of years ago I was approaced by a LH manager from Detroit. He made me promises that sounded too good to be true and when I pressedhim on them he did a three way call to the home office and they confirmmed everythign he had stated. He said he could get me 25 free leads and was going to start me at 105%. He stated I would have the leads within 10 days. So I did the required paperwork and waited and waited for the leads. He sent me 5 leads after about 30 days, and they were mostly crap.

When I called the detroit office to speak with him I often got salespeople in the office and everyone of them was singing the blues. They were all rookies who were starving and mostly dieing on the vine.

My advice stay as far away from LH as possible. They are a bunch of liars. I absolutely love it when I am in a clients home who has their policies. They are the easiest to rewrite that I have ever seen. Their policies are way over priced and most of the agents don't have a clue as to what they are doing. I also run into a lot of fraud with their policies. A cojple of weeks ago I was in a homeand the client had a level policy that was about 6 months old. Both husband and wife had major health issues like CHF and COPD. When I shoed them how the agent answered the health questions they were very pissed off.

So when someone come on here supporting LH I dismiss most everything they say. Most of them are proven laiers who produce very little. On the other hand when JD makes suggestions they usually turn out to be very true.

In my experience most of the people who sell LH are crooks. In fact why are LH people even on this site. I guess its really a good thing because when they figure out how badly they are getting screwed they just might wise up and leave.

LH has 13 IMO's. You cannot contract directly with them. You have to go with one of the IMO's.

If you really want to help agents post about your upline. Encourage people to stay away from those that are dishonest. Your managing agent and other agents. Just because your upline lied to you and his agents follow his bad habbits you can't lump all LH agents together.

Saying that every LH agent is a crook and a liar is not fair.

If I had a bad experience with an upline with EFES and an app I wrote through Americo got messed up I wouldn't state that every agent that sends biz to americo is a crook. That doesn't make sense.

Maybe your LH manager works with a different company now. What if he's doing the same thing but with a different product. Vaguely saying LH did this LH did that wont help agents avoid the same problem.

They might end up working with the same people just sending biz to a different CO. And the same thing will probably happen no matter who they write with.

That maybe true, but I keep running into bad LH agents that basically have to lie to get business. I worked with LH for near Five months before I had enough of my pothead manager where the only value of keeping agents was to supply them with free 420. I have to admit there was some honest good agents that worked for them. The difference is, they no longer work for them.

The List goes on about all the things that make it not anywhere near a good company to work for. The system they have is only good for a few managers and the owners. That is the same model that the Powells are doing from GA when they went into creating there own company Senior Life.

It is the LH agents and their AGL, Liberty National and other similar agents that keep me smiling and writing apps, so I guess I shouldn't complain. :)

LH agents are screwing every client they write, period. They are all crooks in my book or they couldn't sleep at night.

Saying they would be replaced no matter they they write is a lie. I almost never have business replaced, because I write the best policy the client could get for their health and premium.

Why would an agent ever believe that a bogus one that is tied to an overpriced FE policy would be of any more value?

Give the families good value and your business definitely stays put.
 
the majority of the LH policies I replace are fraudulent policies, with numerous lies on the application. When you show that to the client is a very easy rewrite.
 
Jacob -- please spare me some LH/SL policies in the East Tennessee area.

I almost never run into them anymore... It's like free money.

I would do it Dave, but I think we have run them out of our area. Guess even the LH guys can figure out when their avg policy only lasts 30-60 days, and they start writing elsewhere... now if I could only figure out where they are at now?

Get a spouse a job at the office that processes the apps...All you need is the area they are being written in :)
