New Facebook Group

My guess is they do or they control who joins and who gets the boot. Purely a guess though.

If I were using Facebook to showcase my group I would not let other agents or recruiters in. I have started purging active life guys and recruiters from my LinkedIn account. Some of my clients complained that contacts of contacts were spamming them.
That sucks, I never thought about that. I was thinking about opening a Linkedin account...now I'm having second thoughts.

FB groups will be the death of this site. I can't imagine them allowing us to promote their competition on here....

I sorta like the one stop shop for discussion... I'm not looking for a down line so this place works well for me...

If I added to much social media I would get less work done than I do now...

Staying on topic has its advantages... but you don't laugh much... at the end of a long day, I come here sometimes to get a giggle or two

Plus... how much info can they steal from you on here... and you don't get edited just because you may disagree with management...

And how much do you learn when a good fight breaks out... I know I've learned a thing or 2

On Linkedin you can block other people from seeing your connections. Click on the arrow by your profile photo, click on settings and privacy, click on the privacy tab, then change the Who Can See Your Connections to Only You.

As for the Facebook Group, I'm not blocking people just cause they're recruiters. You got guys on there recommending TM leads and pre-set appointments from Filipino call centers as a long term business model. It just won't work.

One of the other popular facebook group leaders is recommending agents spend $400 for a list of 200 non-responders as a lead source. That's just a targeted list to cold call.

Honestly, I like our competition lol.

Shows how much I don't know about LinkedIn. I has little value for me other than a way for my clients to find me. I do pick up some articles and videos of interest. It has also helped a few of my clients network. I am planning on mostly having my clients connected. I get spammed a lot from it.

Facebook groups? I may join some, but maybe not. I do miss the old Forum Fight Club, so maybe yes.

Maybe you should start a group on face book called the FE Fight Club...Members would only be allowed one civilized post out of every five...
