That's not how it works at all as far as PPL is concerned. You pay for leadss at whatever you negotiated and agreed to at signing.
You wil pay that much per lead for your first 90 days. The PPL, Production Per Lead, is exactly that. It's a 90 day rolling period and you must have 85 leads in each 90 day period for the PPL number to be used.
It's production divided by leads received. Direct monthly bill does not count in your production. Based on whatever your PPL is after 90 days and where it falls on the scale is what you will pay for leads. It's a rolling 90 days, so once you have 90 days with EFES the PPL figure will change every week. It actually changes everyday, but you will pay for leads based on what it is on Firday of each week. The best you can do is $11 per lead. That requires that your PPL be over $200. Not many agents are paying $11 per lead. The average is $19. Most of the agents on the left side of the leaderboard pay $15 or $16 per lead.
The PPL takes some time to figure out. You self generated business that you use your wholesale number on to get a higher commission does not help or hurt your PPL. All of my business goes on my retail number because I would rather pay less for leads every week than to make an extra 10% commission on my self generated business.
Oh ok, that makes since, I was a little confused on how that worked.[/QUOTE]
Newinsurancelady, once again JDeasy is making up stuff he obviously knows nothing about. I know this because I just settled this yesterday, I was promised when I signed on just what JDeasy said. And in JDeasy's defense, that is probably what was told to him. I was told before I started that it would be $25 a lead for the first 90 days to give me time to build up my business before they started referring to the PPL chart. As we all know, I've done terrible with these leads, in my first 15 leads, I made 1 sale. Guess what happened, I got my bill for my second set of 15 leads and it was $34 a lead. When I called they said your PPL goes into affect immediately, so since I only made one sale the leads jumped immediately to the $34 range.
So if you don't sell very much in your first 15 leads, get ready for a massive bill.
Now, I will say that due to the fact that I was told differently, Chase (one of the marketers) worked with me to get towards a solution. He is a decent guy and recognizes that despite the overall experience I have had thus far, I am still trying to work with them and stay on good terms with EFES and so he met me half way. But just be very careful to not make the same mistake I did which was trusting everything that was told to me from either this forum or the managers at EFES directly, look at the paper work and read it very carefully before you sign up for anything.
The last thing I'll say is this, EFES' lead program is probably a pretty solid program for those that have a LOT of cash to start out, and have a LOT of experience already in this field working mailers and you can filter through their over promises and exaggerations. If not, I would stay far away or do what I am doing and stay with Equita on a brokerage capacity and not taking part in their lead program.
