New to EFES, Question About Leads

Im confused. So JWILL13 how many leads are you getting weekly now, and how much are you paying per lead? I know you had some trouble initially, but what is happing now?

This is the key question. If they are delivering what you request at the agreed upon price, then hang in there. If not, then look for alternatives.

It sounds like JWILL13 is looking for advice on how best to handle certain objections, which is fine (such as I thought this was a free Gubment program).
They respond with "umm...it said something like a free government program.." Lately, I ignore that and respond with "Okay, well let me tell you this, people mail that card in for three reasons..." and off I go,
JWILL13, your response and approach is the one that works best for me. It's the same one my mentor taught me.

As a side note, I use a different mailer that NEVER mentions $255 or the Gubment programs. And I STILL get people that say they thought this was about government benefits. So what the lead says is not really important. It's that it gets you in the door that's important. What you do from there is based on your skills and technique.

this is the part i don't understand.. did you receive all the leads at the same time after you called?
what did they just forget about sending them to you? i'm curious as to what their response was as to why this occured.

I would get a few leads, wait several days, get another few in, etc. Twice I called to figure out what was going on and they would give my some excuse, but then I would receive the leads within the hour after my call. And since the clients are telling me they filled out the card a month or 2 ago, it would cause suspicion as to what is going on. Nothing is making sense or lining up with what they are telling me and what I have experienced so far. That's not whining JDeasy, take it easy, lol, thats just telling you my experience. This week I got all 15 leads on time. Whether or not it was because I made noise on this forum, I don't know. But for the first time, I received all my leads, here's to a better week :)

I think I am paying twenty something for the leads, I'm not sure yet because I haven't been billed. As far as the trouble I had initially, I just started this thread a few days ago, so I am pretty much in the same place. My leads came in on Saturday when they were supposed to so I am going to spend this week working on them and my previous leads and see what I can do. My theory is, if I can do well, sell and make money, despite the several issues I have had with them, I will stay since I am contracted with them. If I had known all of these issues ahead of time, I would have stayed with my previous FMO which I was doing much better with.

was thinking of maybe getting on board with efes. but reading this does seem a bit damn confusing... was it ever disclosed what happened to op's original leads on why it took months to recieve after they came in? i don't get it.

anyone selling from their mailer have people say they thought it was a free service that they may qualify for? seems the wording sort of alludes to that. saying it will pay for what SS does not pay up to $25,000. then on bottom it says this is a FREE service.
can you choose a mailer that clearly indicates that it's not a free service?

its pretty simple to me... once you understand PPL then it is simple math... you get leads every saturday... you get ten days before you pay for them... you run leads and see people and then the numbers don't lie you make sales...

what are you confused with?

i'd like to know how many times the CC will be charged while you wait for the first set of leads to trickle in.

i can see how some seniors will not remember when they mailed something. they could confuse it with something else.. heck some don't remember talking to someone on the phone only two days ago.

they have a start up package you get charged one time before your set of leads come in... they told me they do this to see if you can write biz... they didn't start mailing for me every week until they knew i could produce and now i get leads every saturday just like JD said

JD, best of luck to you. From what you've said, you seem to be doing really well in this business. Not interested in the back and forth, I've already gone on longer than I needed to make my points and get advice. I'll continue to do my best with what I have and you can continue to monitor my production and criticize what you think you know about it  take care.

i think u two guys should compare 1099's from last year and see who's is bigger.... i know who my money is on LOL

They make different size 1099s? :nah:

You are paying behind but you have a lead bill every Wednesday; just to avoid confusion. Also, isn't it rather juvenile to say "my dog's better than your dog," or "my penis is bigger than yours?"

I don't know about you but I left that insecure about my manhood crap behind on the grade school playground.

From my understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong, with MIG, who I believe works with EFFES, this is how they explained it to me. You pay for the package, you get the leads that come in the package and then they let you work the leads, what you produce depends on the PPL, you have a week to work it and I believe they said that if you aren't producing then they don't send as many leads. It all depends on on production and you pay for whatever leads you get, but I could be misunderstanding what they told me. Or that could just be with MIG and have nothing to do with EFFES at all lol

my point was if one guy made a ton of money last year and one guy made under 30K who's story would you then believe... i don't believe this guy arguing with JD even knows how to sell... this isn't rocket science that we are doing... you see the people... you make enough presentations and a certain percentage of the folks buy...

all i am saying if you whine about this and that you probably just should get a full time job with a hourly rate...

Thats pretty much correct, Im with MIG....but thats EFES policy. U pay once for a start up package of leads, work them, if u produce they will mail for u on a weekly basis & u decide how many weekly u can handle/afford from that point on. U only pay upfront on the start up package, then from there on pay 10 after your leads are received on Wed every week.

Are u joining MIG or not sure still?

I really hope JDeasy is making more than I am for all of his recruiting on here and all of the business he says he writes. I never said I was doing well with EFES, in fact, I said I was doing pretty bad with them, that is why I came on here with my concerns...and from all the responses and Private Messages I have received I would say the vast majority that have been with Equita would agree with me.

Look, I'm not saying you can't do well with Equita, not saying that at all, I've just come to realize they are not a good fit for me. I also said I was doing much better with my previous lead source, YAL, which should prove that I am not just a terrible salesman as you say. So you and JD can come on here and say that I'm whining, until you are blue in the face  <- like that guy, but in the end, my questions have been answered and you are the ones that come off looking like tools.
