New to Insurance and this forum

Thanx for the heads up :) From what I have learned Humana has loopholes everywhere in their policies. It doesn't cover squat when it comes to cancer ,serious illness, or organ transplants. $5 mill. is nothing when it comes to these types of problems. Humana is cheaper however you get what you pay for;)

Someone is filling your head with Grade "A", USDA Choice, 100%, unadulterated bullsh*t.

Wow...you're very well training by an Assurant MGA who doesn't make overrides off Humana.

But then again, what do we know - Moonlight has only been selling insurance for 10X longer than you and I only run an association for health insurance agents.

I'm sure you're right and we're wrong.

Yet your clients in FL are paying over and over again in the way of increased premiums:

Tampa: 40 male, 40 female, 2 kids - preferred - HSA:

$5,800 ded Assurant w/Suite Solutions: $620
$5,800 ded Golden Rule: $320

Difference: $300 per month or $3,600 per year

Jacking your client's premium by $3,600 every year to justify accident production is not proper.
Assurant offers a 3 yr. locked in rate....and coverage up to $25,000,000 max. From what i have seen, Golden Rule can't compare when it comes to MAJOR MEDICAL ISSUES.:) JMO

Marcus,

Far be it for me to say anything bad about Assurant - I'm one of their top GA's.

However!

Maryland HSA 40 male, 40 female, 2 kids: $302
Tampa FL HSA 40 male, 40 female, 2 kids: $590

Assurant is almost $300 per month less expensive here!

As you can see, Humana and GR are not "low" in Tampa - Assurant is high! They are totally out of the market there compared with their rates in other states.

You are selling Assurant in arguably one of their worst markets in the country.

Listen to me - I just came back from winning Assurant's Palm Spings trip for production.

However, if I moved to FL my Assurant production would go down by 95%.

Take it easy.....we are just having a discussion here. If I don't believe in what i'm doing than i shouldn't be in this business right? I'm eager to learn and believe everything my trainer has taught me so far. Nothing personal.

From what you've seen? You got your license when?

Do yourself a favor - wake up. These Executive Insurance guys are tellin' you this crap because THEY'RE MAKING AN OVERRIDE OFF YOU! Not to mention the profit they're going to make off the leads they sell you...aren't these the guys that charge you $300 a month for the privledge of being there?

You can lead a horse to water...

You're either going to:

Listen to people making overrides off you
Listen to more senior people who don't make anything off you

Put the Kool Aid down. $25 mill is a sales gimmick. Assurant, while properly priced in many markets in the country, are totally out of whack in FL.

Fine if you want to continue doing what you're doing but you came here for advice from senior agents and you're getting it.

If you choose to disregard it that's fine to - but you know. You can continue to only offer Assurant but you're screwing your clients. If you want to make a living screwing people then be my guest.

I'm out.
