Newbie question on lead questions/ transfers

I see some ask favorite color or favorite hobby... the hobby opens up a discussion,, what is to be gained from asking their favorite color? assume both were not asked.. only fav color,, for ex? thanks
I heard a live transfer where the caller was taken aback at the favorite color question.. unsure why they were even asked it?? thanks

Your not a newbie as you've been on here since 2013 I see . But I can tell from all your questions over the months one thing . Instead of getting out there and grinding in the trenches and learning in the real world your trying to find all the perfect answers . You must learn for yourself as each person must find their own style .

Gotta ask what your production was last month? You'll never learn except by doing. I can teach an agent the basics but the rest they pick up, IF they go to work. So many good future agents are lost to paralysis by analysis.

Both questions come off as odd on their own. I would focus more on paying attention your surroundings, you can determine a hobby from that.
