Newbie

You know we (the tax payers) own about 80% of AIG now.

Is anyone still buying insurance from AIG?

Are you still offering AIG Chue?

Yes, you can for some insurance companies. But some insurance companies do not support hiararchical structure for the over ride.

What one has to be careful of is when an organization says they are an IMO, when if fact they're a FMO. I personally have found that a TRUE IMO will give non-biased advice; as they are not being subsidized by an insurance company to help push their products.

FMO's are being subsidized so you have to be careful of the information that you receive. I hope this helps.........

It does help. You are saying that a FMO will often be affiliated with one company. I didn't know that I thought FMO and IMO was different terminology for basically the same thing.

A FMO will often have several "sponsors." Therefore binding the FMO to "push" the companies that are lining the back pokcets of the FMO.
