Now I heard everything...

There used to be a barbecue joint in Norfolk, VA that was pretty popular with the FE crowd. A client would mention it from time to time, so I thought I'd check it out. I really liked it, and it was only a few miles from where I lived in Chesapeake, so I took my family there from time to time. But one day, a big roach came crawling out from my partially eaten sandwich. I took it to the counter, but the lady acted like I was some kind of troublemaker. I mean, she was like "So you found a roach! So what??!!" Like I should feel glad they didn't charge me for the extra protein!

But I guess I understand why my FE clients felt so at home there. :wideeyed:

South Norfolk? If so, I wouldn't doubt it a bit!

I literally just got off the phone with this girl - going in circles. Saved her $450 a year on her homeowners, only difference is the deductible is $500 not 200 like she had before. Explained the company doesn't offer 200 but since you are saving all that money, put 300 in a savings account, if you ever have a claim the money is there. So its been years of savings, if she had listened she would have the deductible no problem.

This is why Davve Ramsey and I would not agree when he says "buy term and invest the rest" like many folks he dosen't understand the public like we do... they don't.

Forgot to mention she put in 3 that's right 3 claims on her house today. Wants us to cut down a tree with termites, 2nd claim wood on deck is warped and rotting from long winter of heavy snow, 3rd the pipe running the water out to the hot tub has a leak and we need to pay for the plumber.

No, up on Military Highway north of Military Circle Mall. It was a better area than S. Norfolk, but not by much. (Several years ago, so you're putting the little gray cells through their paces!) It was either close to the VB Blvd Intersection or Princess Anne Rd. They closed down not long before we moved to Texas. Last I heard a used car dealer had taken over the location. I used to wonder if my cockroach somehow contributed to their demise.

Now you know why it is so imporant to take good notes when speaking with clients... keeps you on your toes and makes sure your suggestions are recorded. Makes for some good reading down the road at times.
