His statement appeared to be generic to all fixed cost. If he was just referring to buying them as you discussed then I understand. If he meant it as all fixed I was curious as to why? Could have certainly misread his statement. Why do you say Yeaks to the fixed price leads?
the fixed cost one tend to be VERY old or the ones just sending in the card to get something "FREE".See post #5 in this thread perhaps?

Had much more sales selling the per 1000 ones.
Bottom line, it's a ROI thing
Beware of Need-A-Lead for mid 2020. This was a great Company for 2019 but they are not performing for 2020. If you spend your hard earned money with them, you may pay the price like I did. Paid 540.00 for 1100 piece mailing. Return was 6 leads. That is 90.00 apiece for Medicare Supplement leads. The owner of the Company claims no responsibility for the return on leads. I mailed the same county 4 times between 2017-2020 with a return of over 3% each time with other Companies. Dishonesty apparent with multiple phone calls prior to ordering with a young customer service representative with the Company. The owner states he no longer has his sales people. Should have seen the light prior to ordering but trusted their service in 2019 so disregarded.
I've been using Need-A-Lead for a couple years and have always had decent success with the price per 1,000 piece mailing. I use the infamous 'Wal-Mart Gift Card' piece which brings in larger returns, but certainly require more finesse in getting in the house. I haven't purchased a mail drop since the pandemic began. Does anyone have any input on how lead purchases and mail drop returns have been lately during the crises? I'd imagine overall they'd be a bit lower.
