Overcoming Objections in FE Sales

Its really sad to read posts about how you are taking advantage of the elderly for a living. Going to someone's house that you know won't remember your phone call? Sitting with someone who doesn't understand the implications of giving out a social security number? It gives all insurance agents a bad name.

Well I might believe you if you can show me some examples of how either a spouse or a sibling complained when there was a funeral and the insurance company had a check for them.

The worst thing you can do is leave a home uninsured. SHAME ON YOU!

Try to set appointments with your older clients without much family. They will be glad to have the company around the holidays.

Some people do try "taking advantage of the elderly".
Great job on taking advantage of their loneliness.

When you are bragging about selling to uneducated people with early signs of mental illness you are taking advantage of them. Everyone does need life insurance but in the state of mind you prey upon it is completely unethical and in many states illegal.

Can you quote where anybody was doing what you mentioned above. I'm not saying that it didn't happen. I must have missed it.
Although, I did see this quote:
Try to set appointments with your older clients without much family. They will be glad to have the company around the holidays.

That's a bit unethical to take advantage of the elderly and their loneliness.
It's not going to help your recruiting to go around bragging about your immoral practices.

There is nothing wrong with selling final expense insurance or working with the elderly. Some of them are just as sharp at 80 as they were at 30. If you have established favorable relationships with them I will stand by my suggestion you visit them during the holidays. Where we part ways is when you all go down the path of laughing about taking advantage of older clients who clearly have failing memories and other mental disorders. It is shameful. ...It is possible to do the right thing and still be successful in this industry although FE only agents often don't understand that.

Besides you, I didn't see anybody claiming to be unethical and take advantage of the elderly. I'm still waiting on that quote.

Listen, I'm not doubting that you feel you aren't taking advantage of the elderly.
Others may misconstrue what you were saying as being unethical. They may say, 'Ben Prince and his recruiters take advantage of the elderly! Stay away from them!! They are unethical'.

:1frown:

Go read this clown's other posts and you will see you are wasting your time. Better read them quick because he does go back and delete them when he has a rare lucid moment
