1. I have a new to Medicare client who we enrolled in a PDP for Oct 1 effective. If he changes to another plan starting Jan 1, would I get a chargeback for this?

2. Why are standalone PDPs so much more expensive overall than MAPDs? If this person enrolled in a MAPD, his monthly drug cost would be $47. With a PDP, his premium is $100 and his monthly drug cost is $150 almost across the board. Is it because of the lower reimbursement from CMS for PDPs?

1. No. You're not supposed to, anyway.

2. There are various conspiracy theories for this. One of them is probably true.
