Just to chime in here

This is what I use as my everyday carry pen :)
Smith & Wesson Tactical pen. Looks like a normal pen to most, but it's anodized aluminum, with strike points and you'll already have it in your hands. I've been teaching Filipino martial arts for over 20 years. If you go reaching for a weapon (mace, knife etc) it may be too late. I work near Metro Detroit often and you never know walking into a house.

Cost - $30-40, will last a lifetime
Plus it writes great!

Door knocking is good if you're in the area with a no show appt.Also if you have no leads and have a stack of leads you can't contact.But I've probably door knocked 40 tm or dm leads the past 3 weeks and maybe 7 were home and I drove 250 miles each day I did it.The problem with tm leads you don't know the age of the people thus many are working.

Not all Tele leads are without the age.

So I haven't ran F2F in about 5 or so years, I am that mysterious telesales guy, but... I am testing a new lead script and i wanted to get a realistic gauge on "steve" leads and closing ratio's and so forth.

I received my leads on Thursday and my appt setter called them on Friday and set the appts for Saturday.

7 appts scheduled every hour on the hour.

First appt sold - 420 AP
Second appt sold - 384 AP
3rd appt no sale couldn't afford
4th appt no sale couldn't afford
5th appt son was there not the "insured" and no sale but they want it. (ya right)
6th appt - no show
7th appt - no show

Then I ran appts yesterday.

11 appts shceduled

1 - Sold 480 ap
2 - Doesn't care about burial or anything, no sale
3 - No show
4 - Has burial paid for thru funeral home, no sale
5 - Sold 540 ap, Modified plan
6 - No show
7 - No show
8 - Sold had term plan that expires at age 80 - 2148 ap and Sold daughter 792 ap
9 - I missed because of above appt
10 - I missed tried to re schedule but said no can't afford chit
11 - rescheduled for Friday.

I worked Stockton and Modesto back and forth and I live 1.5 hours away from Stockton, Modesto is about 30 to 40 min away from Stockton.

First appt was at 8 am and last was at 6 pm in Modesto, drive home 2.5 hours (love traffic)

Tomorrow we are trying to get another 11 appts but I am not sure if I can get em, I didn't think thru the lead flow properly, so i will probably only get 6, I will keep this updated.

I do not use the TW or similiar presentation, I just talk and ask what they want, quote and close.

Everyone left you out! Great job. Good to see you out in the field!
 
That's awesome! I can't get motivated to knock between appts, I'm weird about it. I have to set aside a morning with nothing else going on and just knock out as many as I can before I get annoyed with it lol. So I leave Friday mornings just to DK.

Dk if there's a no show or a gap in apts if they're on the way to the next apt, otherwise just show up early at the next apt.

Otherwise, yes the end of the week is the time to dk the stragglers esp the Ni phone people...don't waste time with those folks early in the week unless driving right past their house.

They ni phone on Sunday or monday, then dk them on friday, they'll forget you called by then

I got mine free the last time I ordered a new Ak 47, I keep mine in my tactical pouch that goes everywhere with me.

Ok I'll play, I'm at $1750, only have 6 appts for the week (day) seen 4 closed 2 and I have 2 more appts left today, I'm confident I'll hit my $2500 goal for the day.
 
Tough week but it all came together in the end.

My "stupidity disease" (Thank you Hoosier...that is what I needed) set me off with a goose egg on Monday cause as Hoosier put it, I was stepping over dollars to pick up pennies by working old leads instead of new.

And wouldn't ya know it, just to tighten the educational screw, no new leads for next week yet! I'll be forced to work old leads anyway! Well, old being 1-2wks of those I couldn't reach.

Had to work extra hard as a result. But managed to pull $5700 AP.

I am cured.

Drove 2 hours for 4 appointments


1- broke
2-wife at work wants it -call back
3-daughter handles her business
4-wife sleeping - wants it- call back

I have found in CA call backs do work but I have the appt setter confirm they are ready to sign up before I go out again.

My appt setter does not qualify at all but also doesn't push them into an appt.

Over all for 3 days of appointments I'm happy with results.
