Prosperity Life Business

Began using Prosperity Life a few weeks ago because of the changes that were forced upon us at the beginning of the new year.

Just a few questions for those who may have used them a longer period of time.

How responsive are they to agents? So far I've spent too long on hold and today I called "New Business" spent 6 min on hole then was transferred to "Customer Care" asked to be transferred back to "New Business" and was dropped directly into answering system.:skeptical::arghh:... Is this normal for them?

I'll just stop there for the moment and see what answers I get.
I have never had long hold times when I call, and I have been with them for at least 3 years. However, that does not mean I love them. In fact, I stopped submitting business to them because underwriting declined several apps of mine and requested 5-yr medical history on the applicants simply to reconsider. When I submitted those same apps to my now preferred carrier, they approved them all at preferred rates. The only reason I will use Prosperity now is when I need the added security of SS billing.

So, who is your current preferred carrier, and why?

As far as being dependable in getting my apps approved, LBL has been great. Not sure what health issues Prosperity's underwriting department does that LBL does not, but withdrawn apps have occured on too many occasions with Prosperity. Mutual of Omaha's e-app has also been phenomenal for me.

I like LBL. They're my primary home service carrier, so I naturally gravitate to them for FE, too. My only difficulty on the FE side with them is the lengthy POS interview. Other than that, they are very easy to work with.

New Vista Final Expense Updates as of May 1, 2022

Prosperity Life Group - Sales & Marketing

Lastly, it has come to our attention that many agents may not be aware that Prosperity pays approximately $92 per application submitted due to the costs of services provided by Apptical, MIB, Rx, GIACT, and other third parties. We will be closely monitoring individual agents with poor placement rates. If your placement rate drops below our product profitability requirements, we may suspend your access, and you will be required to undergo additional training before it can be reinstated.

You Skipped the park where now the accidental writer is commissionable.

True, but I was trying not to ramble...

Starting May 1st, the Accidental Death Benefit rider will be commissionable on New Vista Final Expense policies. Previously, we did not pay commissions on the optional ADB rider. We hope you will find this to be a welcomed update, and it will be effective on policies submitted May 1st and beyond.

And the part about raising the policy fee to $60 from $40 and not paying on the $20 increase. Also their quoters are already adding in the $1.80/mo increase even though it hasn't started yet.

But not to worry, they will adjust that internally once received. :1wink:

I actually wrote 2 direct express yesterday . 1 for $83 and one for $64 . 1 came back rop I thought would get graded and one I think got graded but says going to underwriter . I'm not impressed with prosperity's underwriting . They seem to grade a lot . But for de graded or modified with ss billing need them . Plus they pay that nice 130% on level, graded or modified .
