Random Thoughts, Ramblings, Ideas, Questions, Etc..

There will be a lot of pissed off agents in this forum if commissions are cut on the business they're working their butts off to write this Open Enrollment.

Running hard with your head down can blind you to the big hole being dug in the road up ahead.

Never thought I'd say this, but now is the time to write your Republican officials and ask that they re-consider their 2016 assault on the Affordable Care Act. I'm going to offer myself up to the liberal news media as an Agent who's now an ObamaCare Proponent.

Once the anti-ACA defunding momentum really gets going after January 2015, it will be more difficult to stop.

Maybe its a Texas thing, but they cant change it after you write it. What I write today on BCBS gives me 6% for years 1-3 and 4% after. I've still got stuff on the books that I get 10% on.

What I get on new stuff after this OEP wont matter if I don't hit my persistency numbers in 2014. That's not digging my head in the sand. That's goal setting.

The sky isn't falling. At least not today.

Stop worrying about it Allen, and you might get more than 4 apps in a week.
And, why are you worrying about it when you only wrote 4 this week.
And, stop feeding the insurers any ideas as they read this forum.

Random Thought.. All the ongoing CHAOS we're seeing with ObamaCare (Networks, IRS, etc..) is not only making Republicans happy, but also a growing number of Democrats as well. It brings the Democratic dream of Medicare-For-All (or whatever it will be called), closer to reality. Now, all they need is for the Supreme Court to finish the job by shutting down HC.gov subsidies.

Will insurers be able to continue paying us, or even stay in business? HHS mandated yet another batch of insurer requirements this past Friday.

Re: More shopped than auto-enrolled on Healthcare.gov

"Despite concerns to the contrary, more people shopped around for a new plan than allowed themselves to be automatically re-enrolled, HHS data show. More than 2.2 million chose a new plan and just under 2 million were automatically re-enrolled."

Over 90% of my 2014 HC.gov clients auto-renewed. You think HHS is lumping in first time enrollers with those who did an active renewal? What is your experience your client base?

Do they have plastic surgery that can shrink ears? Compare your video of 2010 with one from today (3-3-2015).

I swear his ears are smaller now. What you think Tony?

Other than that, the look of "innocence and hope" is now gone from BHO's face. Not aged 20 years like some Presidents, but just more serious/tired.

These two are really grinning in the beginning I mean they're smiling ear to ear. They are really thinking they pulled something off ....just moments before the pen does "the deed"

Carriers can change comp at any time with proper notice.

That is standard verbiage in most carrier contracts with producers... regardless of contractor type... which is why it is also standard language in contracts I wrote for the agency I work with - though we have not exercised it to date, we at least have the route to do so in the event carriers opt to change rates so drastically that it would endanger the business overall.
