Allen, if they are paying the full premium there isn't a need to do anything, it will all get 'trued-up' when they file their taxes-if they have the same income they stated there will be a pretty large refund. If you put them Off Exchange they won't get that back.

Blue Cross rep services and the Blue Cross website has both plans listed as "Terminated", FLM2. That's what worries me. I understand how the APTC reconciliation process works for ACTIVE plans. But these are terminated as of 4/30/2015. The clients don't know this. They're getting billed full premium and paying it each month. There's a short in the wire somewhere between BCBS-IL and the Marketplace.

Gotcha, that is really screwy...

Blue Cross mgmt. just told me that they can no longer give a policy's status (Active or Terminated) to the agent. Insured must deal directly with company. Handwriting's on the wall for us... be prepared.

That is the strangest thing I've ever heard of, do you see that as BCBSIL eliminating agents completely very shortly?

The mounting amount evidence is leading me to that conclusion. Not being able to divulge the status of a client's policy is just their latest anti-agent move. I have no idea if eliminating the traditional commissioned agent from IFPlans is sooner or later, but all signs are pointing to that conclusion, FLM2.

Allen, why not log in to the back door of the marketplace and see if it was termed by the ffm.....

Tater, they were terminated by the FFM on 4/30/2015. BCBS-IL agent portal shows both client's policy status as "Terminated". My problem is that Blue Cross keeps billing and they keep paying. Both are paid through the end of this month, August 2015. The company won't verbally tell me if they're Active or Terminated at this point in time.

Instructed both clients to call BCBS-IL today and let me know what they found out. No response yet..

bottom line allen, you lost this case end of april... you never called them... you didn't keep an eye on the changes... you lost... move on

I don't think Allen said he lost the client. He said the client still shows up in his broker portal, but he just can't tell from the new BCBSIL portal design if the client is active or terminated.

Exactly Ann. One column on each client report says "Terminated on 4/30/2015" and 2 columns to the right it says "Paid to 08/31/2015". I've been paid commission each month since April, so they're not clients that I've lost.

TaterPeeler always has a full plate, formulating his strategies. He doesn't have time to thoroughly read and respond to posts like he used to.
