Recending Policies

Well, after that post others may disagree with me but I've changed my mind and I'd continue to deal with her and search for a new plan. Why? Because by the fact that she wants to continue on with you as her agent she's pretty much releasing you from liability. It would be difficult for her to continue using you then also file complaints. Any attorney 1 day out of law school would ask her "well if think your agent did something wrong why did you continue asking for his services."

I'm sure there will be other points of view.

This was her response when I called her. " I'm really not that worried about it. I just want to make sure my baby is covered when its born. I thought I told you about this when I applied though? I wasnt real happy with Unicare anyway. They werent paying for Sons shots or labs. So can you quote me on getting covered with a different carrier after I deliver and with my baby added to the plan?"

If she has no in-force policy, the baby IS NOT covered as soon as it's born. With neonatal claims being the largest that insurance companies face, it's not hard to see why.

Let me repeat: if you're smart, you'll get away from this person as quickly as possible.

Nothing good can happen.

Migraines is not the reason.

Migraines are a symtom of something else, not a condition.

She will receive back her premiums paid, less any claims paid.

She was dignosed with migraines after a car accident 17 years ago. She claims she had severe whiplash and the Doc said thats why she has the migrains/headaches. She also told me today that her Mom and Sisters have migrains though as well.

Well then she's screwed. If you disclosed that on another app it's an auto-decline. Ok - I'm back with you - he's done with that client.

Auto Decline, for a migraine? or because her Mom and Sisters have it also? When I check my underwriting guidelines with Aetna and Humana they both would write her according to the guidelines.

This is a problem client.

Instead of wasting your valuable time with them, which'll probably result in them suing you, or at the very least making a DOI stink - go find some other prospects.

Do carriers in your state take women that are pregnant for IFP? In my state (FL) they don't.

I'm curious, did you discuss the claims review process with this client? It seems this individual didn't respect you enough to be honest.
