Here in Indiana in our paper this morning it showed Bayh trailing one potential opponnent (Pence) and barely ahead of another (Hostettler) in a poll of a race for his senate seat. 60% of the voters in Indiana opposed his vote for health care reform. The reason Bayh is doing this is he may be in trouble.

Many of the dem Senators are not-so-secretly hoping that the house will not go for it. That way their bribes go away and they dont have to relive them over and over again in the press and with the voters. I mean you cant make them go away completely but if a bill is passed with them still in there it is going to be ugly up at a whole new level and it is plenty ugly right now.
