Replaced Foresters Today

SL has more liberal underwriting hence the higher premiums.

Mattshit, you've already been fired/terminated from either 1 or 2 mgrs. up here already. You are just bitter because you saw SL was not going to contract you because of some personal/biz issues....vector problems, credit problems, or background problems I'm guessing.

You NEVER seem to add anything of value to this forum, just a bunch of negativity. Why r u so unhappy and bitter?

Was contracted and have rate sheets ans script to refer to Dwight Schrute...why would senior life give me all that info if I wasn't contracted?? And your telling us senior life has more liberal, underwriting then forethought or a monumental? That's not the case. Plus you are a b- rated carrier. I love going up against senior life because I have their rates. Made an easy job even easier. Go back to the beet farm Dwight schrute

I know LH's UW. I would rather walk through fire than go back for a rewrite. And I don't like PHI at the kitchen table. I need fast issue. I need fast pay after death. I'm the outside FDR for two funeral homes and every visit has to count. I don't make appts and I'm a one call guy, so in all candor, I overwhelm the prospect with competence. In short, I need to sure that what I write will be issued. The package isn't perfect but seems OK...I do deliver policies though and go back when I'm on that street next year just to shoot the breeze so maybe I'm not a one call guy. I break a lot of my own rules...Like if there's a Subaru in the driveway, I skip the house...;)

See.........all that makes sense to me except the Subaru.

If you take the emotion out, it all seems logical to me.

I don't worry about premium. She doesn't either if I've done my job right.

Earlier you posted, "$35 a month. This gives the prospect exactly what she wants and needs and a few more bucks every month"

Sounds as if both of you were worried about premium.. In fact, that is what you used to justify the replacement with less coverage. :skeptical:

I don't about sr life, but we are talking about LH and LH does not have liberal underwriting. They will not do immediate coverage for Plavix. That's just one example where many other companies will do immeidate at a much better rate.

It's just dishonest to claim that liberal underwriting is the reason for overpriced crap when you know the underwriting is not that liberal to begin with.

All that extra work FD Does is just to cover up the lousy FE pricing. Just because you do everything else right does not give you a right to screw them over on price. It should be illegal to replace a policy with one that costs more per thousand. It's all fine and dandy if you wanna work only for LH, but you shouldn't be going around replacing policies that are cheaper per thousand. Thats just sleazy...

An agent should approach a client with the goal of leaving them better off than when they started. If a person has no coverage, they are better off if an agent can provide coverage for them even if it isn't with the cheapest premium or even the best company available.

But when it comes to replacement, that is a different story. There are many replacement taking place out there where the client is not better off than they were prior to the replacement. They are being done with no thought of what is truly beneficial to the client. The only consideration is what is good for the agents wallet.

Was the client actually better off as far as the insurance coverage goes in this case.. Based on what has been said, it doesn't appear that way.

The first rule for a physician is "do no harm".. That should apply to medical physicians and to financial "physicians".

This actally makes sense to me and I've finally found something I can agree on which makes a legitimate case against FD. Maybe others tried but with me this resonated well. Did rick tell you to say this? :skeptical:

Unless the policy itself provided more value or additional benefits, this might not have been an appropriate sale/replacement or as Rick maybe told you, sleazy.
