Republicans Thinking About Subsidy Extension

Y-agents... stop tapping the glass of the token forum liberals

Before you improperly categorize this guy as a liberal... I'm a Capitalist.

I honestly could not give 2 s's about either side.

I just play the game according to the rules they lay out.

I don't vote either, mainly because I don't want jury duty... not certain if that is how they chose juries, but it's worked so far and I'm sticking to it.

It looks as if Congress is seriously considering extending subsidies until August, 2017 if SCOTUS invalidates the law:
GOP leaders consider preserving PPACA subsidies until after the 2016 election | LifeHealthPro

That would seem to make lots of sense and give then 2 years to fix this mess, if that is the plan I am all far SCOTUS throwing this out.

This should be fun to watch unfold. We'll have the Tea Party pubs pulling out their switchblades cuttin their moderate brethren's throats....:D

This should say....

to prevent the mistakes from happening in the first place.

If Conservatives had addressed the issue before it came to a head, we wouldn't be in this mess. Both hands played a part.

Aside from the partisan disconnect... the fact that none of us are as dumb as all of us... is simply an unfortunate and inescapable human condition.

Beautiful. You just blamed this mess on conservatives. Can you tell me which conservatives contributed to the writing of ACA and which ones voted for it?

In this case, inaction is an action. You can pretend otherwise.

And you can pretend the fiasco we have now is no fault of liberals.

There is plenty of fault to share.

But there is something to be said for that healthcare/insurance has been a mess for years and Dubya did nothing. (Well. He did give us Part D. That wonderful, well-written law that is very easy to understand and use)

If some common sense would have prevailed and Congress had just eliminated the underwriting on indy plans with an SEP, that would have taken care of most of the issues.
