She makes multiple false statements in that interview. She claims that you couldnt use an agent to shop the entire market before.... and that even if you could you would be stuck with whatever company the agent want you to be with...

This lady is a complete joke.

There is not a word of truth in her statements.

Couldn't agree more. I'll maintain that in many states, there are no rates. I called their number to get SC exchange rates. The guy first tried everything to get me back onto the site. After that failed he said he could take my app over the phone but allow 3 to 4 hours.

I said I wanted to go over some rates. He said - verbatim "I'm sorry but I cannot do that." He stated the process was to take my app over the phone, mail the app, I sign it and return it, then call back to go over rates.

I rebutted with "so you won't go over rates right now or you can't go over rates." And that was the end of the call.

You have to be right on that. Rates are the first thing that everyone wants to know and it is the last thing they are letting you know. That has to be by design since they are not that stupid.

Deliberate. The last thing HHS wants is reporters plugging in random zip codes and pulling up rates.
