Thanks to you guys and a lot of advice from the EFES folks, I was able to hit the ground running today. I got a late start because of the training call at EFES this morning. Knocked my first door around noon. Anyway, I knocked on 6 doors, sat with 4 people, the only ones that were home. Sold two policies. Also, called three leads, got told no way twice and set an appointment for tomorrow.

I think I am improving. That's the goal. I still have 11 leads to work this week, and about four left over from last week. Hats off to JD, and Rearden who have given me lots of offline schooling. And to all the rest who have ofered advice to me and others which I poached! Can't wait to get back after it tomorrow.

Congrats! Are you setting appointments on the phone, or door knocking your leads?

Pretty much just door knocking. Here's the exception, gated apartment complexes. I call those. Called three of them today and set one appointment for Thursday. The other two said no way. I'lll give a week to forget about me and call back!

If they are in the same complex, just drop by and see them -- most of those people send off multiple cards at the same time, so you can play dumb.

When is EFES going to start feeding you more leads?

With EFES you can ask your marketer to drop the zip codes with gated communities and condos... I would also suggest increasing your leads to 20 leads week.

Last year I started selling FE with EFES and failed out with a 50 ppl in 3 months because I wasn't working the right areas... This year I work areas with no condos or gates and take between 20 to 25 leads per week and am making a good living...

I don't know about where u live, but here in socal... There's no way to exclude zip codes with gated properties cause they all have some. Obviously more in affluent areas, but u shouldn't be mailing to those areas anyway.

I can't avoid gated areas by zip, but my zips don't have enough to worry about. When I come across them (a like today matter of fact), I wait for someone to enter & drive right on in!

It's pretty difficult to follow someone through the gate her in Florida since there is usually a guard standing there....:nah:

That's why I drive 2 hours away from home to work areas with very few gates is any...

Round here the zip codes have a huge variety in demographics. But my understanding is that EFES filters for income. I have even had leads in some pretty nice neighborhoods with folks who are obviously living on pretty meager means.

EFES does not have an income filter on the low end. They do have a $50,000 filter on the top but that's not accurate either. I was in a home last week where the lady told me she was thinking of downsizing. I asked her what she would list her home at and she said $1,000,000. This is in an area where $250,000 home are way upper middle class.
