Selling for Multiple IMO/FMO'S

Loyalty means a lot to me. Loyalty's a two way street. With that being said, I've spent half of my 34 years in the insurance business with a captive company, and saw first hand how they repaid loyalty to long time agents and Branch Managers. Loyalty meant nothing to them.

I've seen what loyalty got JG and Gooner in their public break ups. They both defended and promoted their former IMO right to the end. JG even had a link to his former IMO in his signature for a long time. With both of them that the appreciation was gone in the blink of an eye. Even though they got released, they still had to go through the hassle of the extra paperwork of moving from one to another.

1. If they give you a little training, should you be beholding to them forever?
As far as treating you better...shouldn't they treat you good anyway?

2. I can see being offered more to put all your business with them, but I'll bet that in most cases you can get a bump by just asking.

I have good relationships with several IMO's, but in the end, my loyalty is to me and my family first. To each his own, but I want to be as independent as I can...and I am.

Nice points. I don't believe in any loyalty to bigger companies. I am more loyal than most and I'm sure that has cost me.

What I look for is mentors, people who have forgotten more about this business than I know at the moment. A number of people on this board fall under that category. I might not agree with everything they are saying, but I almost always write down and go over what they say in my own business.

I agree a little training shouldn't buy loyalty for life. I want people who I can never realistically catch knowledge or performance wise but hopefully I can take the torch from them one day and not disappoint. That is why I really don't post advice on here I feel I haven't earned it yet, although I will ask them dumb questions for the sake of the group. :) When I was at Mass Mutual I looked up all the top producers I could and called them, asked them what they did and how they climbed to the top. Right now my term business is roaring because I found a monster mentor and live in his shadow, that's what buys my loyalty. I will send him evey piece of buisness I can because he is willing to give me an inside look on how he runs his business. I I do understand though that one has to put their business first.

As for what happened to JG, and Gooner, I think we both know that it is a Union/Chevy/Kentuckian that is the glue holding that place together. :)

I think you know what I am going to say...

1. 360 Financial Group has access to a KILLER $26 Direct Mail Lead

2. Added to Street Level and Above Contracts

This combination has put me in the position to MAXIMIZE my production and Income Level

NOONE has come even close to being able to provide ME with THIS

For this, I would be an *** to spread my contracts among other IMO's:swoon:

My income level has EXPLODED thanks to 360 Financial Group

I challenge ANYONE to do better for me than what I have with 360.

Do you only "train" people in Florida? If not how far away from home base do you go? I recommend all the Flordians to reach out to you when the ask for help.

Thank you to all for the professional advice. Every bit of it holds true in the industry I left . This industry being extremely similar, I know exactly what the responses mean.

I can't thank you guys enough for the world-class advice you gave me. I thoroughly appreciate it.

There's a lot to learn on here. While I like to joke around, I've learned a lot on here since I've joined this Forum.

Don't sell yourself short...you have some knowledge and some good ideas that you've posted.

Like I said, I believe in loyalty...but it works both ways. Like respect, it has to be earned.

Even though I get into it now and then with that Union/Canadian Chevy Driving/Kentuckian, I respect him for his knowledge and what he does in FE. I agree with you about him being the glue.:)

No, but it has to make sense for the agent's/trainees to travel to me

I do the occasional Blitz but am all about working Florida

Thanks for the positive reference:yes:

Personally, I feel the opposite. I like to spread it around...don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. That way if things go south with an IMO...no big deal.

Why do you recommend sending the majority of your production to one IMO?

Why would you recommend 360 over other IMO's you've been associated with?

LOL you are fishing, the majority of my contracts are with 360, but not all, but due to the fact they have a killer direct mail program I tend to place most of my business with them.

You know why I would recommend 360 over "others" LOL:D

They seem like a good one to use. I wouldn't be afraid to use them. A former mod on this Forum went to work for them doing webinars. They have about the best website of any IMO. I don't have anything with them...no particular reason. I guess the timing was never right. I did have Lincoln Heritage Med Supps with them years ago.

And you get a huge thumbs up for being totally correct on all of this.

Haha, Although I would travel for training, it didn't cross my mind that others might come down to ride with you. I know Boman was nice enough to come to my area, so I let him stay in my house, suck it Galt, bought most of his meals, and drove him around. I learned a lot that week.
