Senior Life Insurance

And receiving a 60% commission with NO renewals (that is based on a 75% commission schedule). Back down to earth now, WoW.:nah::D
A lot of guys up here say they do what's right for the customer irregardless of the comm. You sound like you are more interested in comm. than giving a healthy diabetic the best rate.

That's fine because I'm the same way.

(That 75% starting comm. rate is for beginners who will need a lot of hand holding, or for someone who can not prove any decent production from another FE carrier (how hard can that be?), or for someone with bad credit or vector problems. I tell you that so you don't expose your hand for all to see). Sssshhhhhhhhh and keep your mouth shut so you don't incriminate yourself.

A diabetic could have perfect BP and still be put on HBP meds. The HBP meds are used to reduce pressure on the kidneys.

As far as I remember, every single insulin dependent I have written has also took at least a BP med.

Greg, I didn't know there was such a thing as a healthy diabetic....

Then you've not written enough apps.

Well, what I mean is an insulin dependent diabetic with no other "significant" health issues (cholesterol, certain depression meds, fibromyalgia are each ok for the insulin dependent diabetic).

Probably over half diabetics would not qualify, but for the ones who do qualify the rate is excellent.

How many apps do you have to write to find that healthy diabetic. You are right, I haven't written enough to find even 1. Maybe I will get one in the next 1,000 people I see. :skeptical:

Yes, very interested in commission. Just one of the reasons I sell this stuff. But alas, I can claim no shame. A good friend of mine, recently passed the state exam, it is he who e-mailed the SLI commish schedule.

I've lived long enough to watch commish go down, down, down. With some companies 2-10 most, if not all, down the drain, AND companies and IMO's all want us to "give up" to get first year. I belive in increased renewals.

Insuranceman you even have fallen for lower renewals with the idea of more first year. I did gladly give up 10% first year for a healthy 2-10. I would give up 20%...for the right renewal.

See what I mean? Your friend just passed the state exam, he is green and will need a whole lot of hand holding to get him up and running.

Ain't no decent mgr. going to cut their own personal production to help a new agent (who'll probably fail or quit within 3 mos.)
without some kind of compensation for the time and effort.

Over writes work beautifully as the more $$$ the agent makes (from good mentoring/training) the more $$$ the mgr. makes.

Renewals are nice, but I like the $ now. I can start earning interest on it now instead of sometime in a year or 2 or 3 or 4, etc., what if the policy lapses after 2 yrs.? NO renewals.

I can grow faster with the $$$ now (cash flow). The alue of $$$ now is higher than in 2-10 yrs. from now. Many more reasons I like the $$$ now. To each his own.
