SEO for Insurance Websites

I like everything else but my article directory days are over. Even Ezine.

Ha, I understand. I too gave up on Ezine after Panda and Penguin but they have gradually become relevant again. And they are excellent for getting a citation.

Other than Ezine and Go Articles, none of the others is worth the time...

Instead of Ezine/GoArticles try legitimate guest blog posts, on "real sites" that are finance/money/insurance related. Not any of these bs "guest post" packages being sold on the seo forums-

But I can't post bull$hit on a legitimate blog like I can on ezine.

Thank you for sharing some great information. If content is king, then context is religion. A great website with SEO can be a very powerful tool and will most likely separate you from the majority.

Ranking is pretty easy you just need a plugin like SEOPressor, or EasyWPSEO, pick a major keyword and 3-5 sub keywords. Write a blog post about each and get a high density. Use a cross-linking plugin to build deep links. Rinse and repeat with more keywords.

The key is writing good quality articles on your own domain, using wordpress. The more articles the better. 3-5 a week is ideal if you really want to compete.

Then do some press releases from time to time, and get links back where possible--but don't do it on spammy sites, it's better to have no backlinks than to have spammy ones. It's also good to have a good social presence (tweets/FB shares/Google+).

In other words, spend 75% of your work week (or more) marketing your website :twitchy:.

Just a heads up on this thread, I do not have enough posts to reply to PM's. So I apologize if you sent me a message and I haven't responded. We Southerners are never rude:)

My email is [email protected] if anyone wants to ask a question regarding SEO.....
