I think every website design should have one thing in mind: CONVERSION. Converting traffic into solid leads.

Once you have rich content for your website, how about getting the visitors contact information before you give it out?

For example, someone goes to your website, clicks on your link for a free report or "10 reasons to do such and such", but before they download it, they must enter their email, phone number, etc.

Information is useless unless it leads to new sales.

Well said! I think people need to approach their website with the end in mind. Figure out what do you want the visitor to do and the build the site around this action.

I have spent so much time on SEO, I have neglected conversion. I might have to start calling the prospects that request a quote. I have never called them before...just emailed.
