Success is not chance!

I suppose you have a point, that's just not my mentality, I tend to trust people until they prove otherwise.

Well, that's your philosophy, and you're welcome to it.

How long have you been in the insurance business?

For most of us that have been around awhile, we've found that philosophy to be a little...dangerous...

Nothing wrong with making someone earn your trust.

I agree, a client has to earn your trust, but how? If not by what I'm doing? Offering help and advice whether there's a return or not.

Regardless, no worries, it's actually quite comical.

I get it, you're saying people who have tenure become tainted and cynical? I guess it's better off retiring early huh?

Brings to mind these agents who have been in the biz for so long yet still hammering it out....where's the big book of business and referrals?

I'm going to be working leads 10, 15, 20 years into this business? To me, kinda rings of failed tactics being repeated over and over.

I do know, from my chamber of commerce, agents who have been in this biz for 15+ years. For them it's socializing, golf and working their book.

For those of you "old dogs" - 15+ years in the biz who are still contacting leads. Please tell me your system again so I know what not to do.

Seems more to be about what's the best fit for your business. There are successful agents buying shared, exclusive, doing telemarketing or only generating local business.

I'm not sure one method is actually better than the other - just the method that works best for you.

You want to fail in this biz or struggle with production? Go buy shared leads.

Seems to be a bit of a contradiction.

I've come to realize that when people are skeptical of motives, it's because they are people who have ulterior motives themselves.

Huh? Really?

So if you got them a lower price, why ain't they buying?

It's called trust. Get them a lower price, there is a catch. Why is it lower? Why are you selling price?

One thing you can find here, is a few feels that their way of getting leads is more successful than others, whatever works for you may not work for others or vice versa, but my question is, what is your definition of being successful..it may work for you, but I see agents happy with 3-4,000 per month, I want more and willing to spend the time to earn.
