Supreme Court Ruling Expected Before Nov 2012 Election.

Allen im not knocking on you brother but who really cares about health insurance anymore...and this is coming from the healthguy...isnt really indie health a dead man walking career path so who cares!

It's part of a bigger problem that we are losing our liberty due to the idiots in DC. I'd love to see the SCOUS call this unconstitutional.

But you are correct. I sold exactly one IFP plan in over a year. Just not worth the time.

They will rule in his favor, on most of it. the winners will be the insurance companies, the losers we be the agents.

My guess is that Obama perceives a vote either way will help his re-election campaign.

If the law is upheld, he wins and claims that he's done something great for the average person. If the law is kept with the exception of the mandate, he claims that it's a compromise and that everyone should be happy. If the law is tossed, he claims that he needs another 4 years to right the ship and fight for the people.

The most interesting part of the 2nd link from above is at the end. It states that the USSC is likely to wait to review the case, even though the administration and challengers want it resolved, until all challenges come to light and to handle them all at once. That's a tie (for now at least), but I'm not sure who that would help, if either side.

But, again, the brokers and agencies are the ones who lose.

I wish he had focus on creating jobs instead of the health reform crap.

That's exactly the mantra the conservative candidates should be spouting. Americans need to be REMINDED his first move split the congress and destroyed jobs. If you think things are bad now, 2 yrs out from 1/14', just wait until the employer has to make a decision to hire 1 yr from now. SCOTUS needs to settle this now!

I totally disagree. Dont know what State you live in but where I am health brokers are vital. If the the SC rules that everyone must purchase insurance is unconstitutional then the entire bill unravels. It completely defeats the purpose of what Obama was trying to achieve. Plus, if the mandate gets struck down, being an election year, Obama is toast. He's toast regardless so honestly I dont know what all the hub bub is about. The "exchanges" are a joke. Already in my State they have said that these exchanges are going to be more expensive than individual health or group. I'm not losing sleep over any of this. Just keep selling. Obama is a loser:D

Greetings HealthGuy,

Well, if I could figure out a way to market Injury Plans, Life Insurance, Critical Illness and Disability individually, I would stop selling Health Insurance except for when someone asks ME for it.

After my Prudential career was snuffed out in 1997, I transitioned over to Health sales. The agency provides free telemarketed small biz HEALTH leads. I go see them and sell the health along with "add-ons" that eliminate the $10K deductible upon Injury, Critical Illness, etc.. Even before health commissions were cut, these add-ons were more lucrative than the health policy..in the first year anyway.

Usually I don't comment on posts that aren't on-topic for the thread because this forum is famous for topic hijacking, but since you've never asked me anything before, responding to you is an honor that I couldn't refuse!

Peace & Prosperity 2 U Bro.

-Allen
