The 3 Reasons to sell

Hard to believe a guy like Newby would come on here and say Travis Tubbs trained more agents than Senior Life or LH, then compound it by acting like the three reasons is some special FEX thing.
Complete bullshit and kind of disappointing. But he's selling on here, so I get it.
I suck at selling.

If I have to put on long pants and boots they know exactly why I am there probably the face amount and premium range. I probably know all of their vitals, mess and beneficiary.

I have almost become that dreaded order taker.
Selling is mostly about who's in front of you anyway.

Hey man, there's a sucker in every crowd. All the "best" groups have the proprietary scoop on premium content apparently.

I just prefer transparency. I may not be the best fit for someone, but I think I do a pretty good job.

The title of the thread is even a bit off. It's not the three reasons to sell. It's the three reasons for responding to the lead.

Im pretty sure Roger was saying that he's not selling unless they give him one of those reasons. Therefore reasons to sell. Roger is sincerely one of the best, I doubt he'd misspeak on something like this.

If I have to put on long pants

Heck, if I have to put on any kind of pants for a sales call I mean business. Years ago I did show up for a meeting in my jockey shorts.

Before you get any ideas, I wore them on the OUTSIDE of my long pants.

I mentioned that I had jockey shorts with skeletons on them but only wore them at Halloween. The guy and his secretary didn't believe me so I promised to wear them the next time I came by. Right before going in the office I went in the restroom next to the office, put the shorts on over my pants, and walked in.

They got a big laugh then we went out for drinks and dinner.

I took the shorts off before we left the office.

I would never do this on a first "date" but I had several clients as a company rep where we spent more time in bars or on the golf course than we did actually talking business. That was how business was done.

Or at least the way I did business.

Always a top producer including a few top awards.

I used to be a fun guy but also the "go to" guy when they needed something done.

What were you selling at the time? Insurance?

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that.

Brandon uses the same 3 reasons and he's rarely on the forum or associated with JD or Travis.

He got it from someone at OLA 10+ years ago.

I don't think OLA was even in business at that time. I don't think Brandon has been with them for 10 years either.

Either way, I've been using the 3 reasons since day one in the business. Not sure who made them up, but they were around long before I got into the business as well.

Of course, it's just like "The Wave". So many on here thought that Jody made it up. No, I taught it to him and it was taught to me. I think the originality was Combined.
