The 3 Reasons to sell

I don't think OLA was even in business at that time. I don't think Brandon has been with them for 10 years either.

Either way, I've been using the 3 reasons since day one in the business. Not sure who made them up, but they were around long before I got into the business as well.

Of course, it's just like "The Wave". So many on here thought that Jody made it up. No, I taught it to him and it was taught to me. I think the originality was Combined.

Brandon started with them 10 years ago on the career side. Might have been Parker and Associates back then.

He was with us for a few appointments. The earliest license I can see on him was in 2012. That's why I didn't think he has been with them for 10 years. I'm still not sure he has even been in the industry that long. I do know he was about as green as green could be when it came to his knowledge when I first talked with him....so.......?

This forum can be like a pitbull on a pork chop sometimes ...

I just thought it was funny that we get an "Art of Door Knocking" thread where little is said in the OP about the actual art of door knocking, and then a three reasons to sell thread where the three reason pitch has basically been referred to as "JD's three questions" even though we all agree that someone else came up with them even before JD. And, as @Newby pointed out, those are really three reasons someone sent the card in - and the reason they work so well is because any of those three reasons is also a reason to buy final expense insurance.

At any rate, I know where I learned them, and I use them in every home I get into to give a presentation and I was using them long before I got mixed up or contracted with any of the forum IMO's ... but I learned them right here and at FEX's website.

I got myself a copy of W. Clement Stone's The Success Secret that Never Fails that was recommended by another FEX lad, Nick Frumkin, otherwise known as the notorious @NAF1138 and I'm going to spend a few hours reading that this Saturday morning as it is raining, and I do not door knock in the rain. I bet I'll find some oldies but goodies in there ... I may even find the origin of the three questions for all I know.

How many people did you block this time?

One thing we know for sure is that almost no-one invented any sales idea or tactic.

We learned from some other already existing source.

The best producers have work ethic and STAND ON THE SHOULDERS OF THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE THEM. Not necessarily from an IMO but the sales greats of yesteryear.
Virtually all of these places can trace their roots back to Lincoln Heritage, including Senior Life.
p.s.- I still think Newby is hands down the smartest guy in this room. Newby knows!:noteworthy:
