Re: Magic Jack

Anyone here tried using Magic Jack in calling? I've heard some positive and negative feedback on it. Can we really save from using it?

Mine is o.k. I wouldn't recommend it for cold calling. Too many bad calls. I am going to take mine with me to Cincinnati to plug into my laptop and make calls from my hotel room, better than nothing.

I recommend a lineline for clarity. It will pay off.

Re: Magic Jack

I think it will depend on the location when using magic jack. I also enjoy skype and no problems encountered so far.

Is It Too Late?

If a person decides to start selling insurance at a late age, like at his 50s, is it too late? Does being an insurance agent has an age discrimination?

That's a good question. I started in my 30's and felt like I was late to the party. It takes years to build up a good steady business.

If you are talking strictly about age, there is nothing wrong with starting in your 50's, as long as you don't act like an old man, boring the hell out of people.

Re: Average Insurance Agent Salary

It all comes back to the agent and how bad he wants to be in this business. I have seen brand new agents do very well and I've seen agents that you would think could sell 100 apps a day, not do anything.

The question is how bad do you want and what are you willing to do to get their.

I would love to be able to play the guitar, but I'm not willing to do what it takes to learn how. Maybe I can just practice a little and learn a little bit.

If you are going to do anything, but everything that you are and have into it.

I think any agent in the world should be able to at least sell 1 to 2 apps a week, no matter what he is selling.

I so can relate to this. It would really depend on the agent and I should consider good timing too.

Great point! I do agree in not being a boring old man. I guess everybody has a chance in whatever business as long as they are capable in handling such.

How Careful Are You?

How careful are you in choosing or buying your clients/leads? What are the factors that an agent needs to consider before giving a shot in his product proposals?
