The Current State Of ObamaCare - ACA

I stumbled across this website you might find it interesting. It really fits the title of this thread.
ACA Private QHP (Qualified Health Plan) Spreadsheet | ACASignups.net

Neat...before getting out of the gate, 15% haven't paid....what will it look like after Q1? Q2? It's the end of the year that really matters. Why don't you keep up the good work and show us the bragging rights after a full year? At what point do you concede that the 7 million enrollments is pointless? When 30% drop? 40%?

How about when it costs us $8 billion for the enrollments?

It's not 7 million its 13 million. Who knows how many will keep it that's the chance I was willing to take. You can play it safe from the sidelines whats the reward for that?

You act like 15% is some gosh awful number lets put this into prospective...how many would have been declined? Rated up? Ridered? Too expensive? Like back in the "good ole days". I bet you still have your underwriting guides on your desk don't you? Ht & Wt chart on your wall.?

As a result of " HOUCOOGSTER" responses after Ann's and Somarcos post it should be abundantly clear to all of us that he is probably a kool-aid drinking lefty who awaits the day that our great country is fundamentally transformed into a socialist utopia.

He, like Obama does not desire the same as us. He is not one that shares the same end goal as us but has a different route to get to the same place. He is striving for a different goal. You can not reason with these types, you can not compromise with these types.

As Ann has stated " Houcoogster" admittedly comes from a Medicare background and possibly did not have any IFP or group medical clients prior to October 1st 2013. He possibly has very little experience in our business, therefore his comments on this forum should be treated as political commentary.

I have spent 26 years in the health insurance buisness , employee benefits and individual medical. I picked up Medicare health plans 3 years ago. I do not feel as though I should go on the " Senior Products" section and speak as though I am a seasoned Medicare specialist.

We should all just keep " Houcoogsters" political comments in context.

Well now it is too expensive so my family is now in the uninsured column

Ann spoke out of turn. I started selling IFP and small group in 1997 left that biz in 2001 to go to Medicare. Now lets talk about why I left. The freakin premiums were going out of sight and I was not going to sell the limited benefit crappy plans. Imagine that! Even I can't Ratt N' Roll like that!

It's ok. Those of us who have sold insurance for more than a year realize the humor in his posts. I've given up trying to educate him.

Rick

First off its 17 years. Don't you have to know something before you can educate someone?;)

13 million if you include those that signed up off exchange and Medicaid, but we are discussing something completely different.

Then you go to that good 'ole fashioned switch-a-roo, don't you? Show one post where anyone said the old way was the right way. I have asked you to do this before, and in knowing what I know about history, I am sure it will repeat itself again.

The point is that Obamacare was the wrong approach. Now we are stuck with trying to fix this pig. No amount of lipstick that you and Obama try to slather on will make this a good law. Pelosi was right. For opponents, we really did need to pass the law to know what was wrong with it. Now it has passed, the pile of bad greatly outweighs the good.

What do you call premiums today? Cheap?

No Sir, 13 million ACA plans On and Off Exchange. That number doesn't include all the STM policies sold which is a lot or Medicaid.

So now the argument is the numbers....what will you say when it becomes undisputed fact? What next? If you and the other haters in the forum can't set aside silly political ideology to go out and make some money for yourselves and your families you guys have problems that no Congress can solve.

Let me set the record straight I didn't vote either time for Obama and yes I did go vote. I didn't like the way this whole thing was done...not one bit. Surprised me to death that Chief Justice Roberts upheld it. But hey guys its all over now it is the law and I'm not going to sit around pi$$ing and moaning about it. I'm going to Ratt N' Freakin Roll with this beast. Don't beat me to death for doing what is right for myself and my family. Peace Out.
