I'll bet this gets rolled out first as the new "Jane" (Avatar) lead, at least until the TSR gets revised. But can you imagine the future of call centers, where the agent always says the right thing, can work a full double shift without a break, and doesn't have to paid a dime? The only thing in the way of replacing telesales agents is figuring out how to get the telebot licensed!

Due to the nature of the FE clientele, I don't think this will be a real thing for another 100 years.

But wow that technology is impressive.

Why not? They responded to "Jane" the Avatar in droves. The only difference I can see is a human wouldn't be needed to select appropriate responses.

To automate underwriting would be incredibly hard especially if you were using more than one company.

Sure that will be achievable one day, but that is very far out.

Not trying to be contentious, but I write a simplified issue term product right now that I do completely online. The health questions are all yes/know, and most apps are approved and issued on the spot without a human underwriter ever being involved. I don't see it as a big stretch at all.

Don't get me wrong. This isn't something I want to see happen. I hate the way the machines are taking over. I hate that many carriers would jump at the chance to cut out the producer. But if the FTC & FCC don't intervene, I think this is coming in short order.

Having said that, I used a robocall computer with my own recorded voice message for lead generation when they were still legal, and had phenomenal results. I might not mind using this technology for the same purpose, IF (BIG IF) it's legal.

I remember using an auto dialer. Those were great. Set the range of #'s to call in the morning and when you get home at night, listen and write them down. One time it called the fire department and whoever answered spent several minutes chewing out the autodialer and I was thinking, "just hang up the phone dummy". Then I was worried that it might've dialed the States Attorney's office.

You guys really think a computer gathering medications and asking about health issues to FE PEOPLE is going to be easy to automate? You're nuts if you think so. Think about all the nuances we deal with when it comes to deciphering what they are saying.

It will be done, but not for a very long time. The people are why it will be so hard to do.

Guaranteed issue carriers will be able to do that easily, but plans that have underwriting will be insanely hard to implement effectively to FE clients.

And it won't be a carrier that masters this. It will be an entrepreneur who develops the technology and licenses it to carriers.
