You guys really think a computer gathering medications and asking about health issues to FE PEOPLE is going to be easy to automate? You're nuts if you think so. Think about all the nuances we deal with when it comes to deciphering what they are saying.

It will be done, but not for a very long time. The people are why it will be so hard to do.

Guaranteed issue carriers will be able to do that easily, but plans that have underwriting will be insanely hard to implement effectively to FE clients.

And it won't be a carrier that masters this. It will be an entrepreneur who develops the technology and licenses it to carriers.

Betting against technology is a sure loser. While we don't know the form the solution will come in, at this point I am confident it will arrive in some manner.

Really anyone who sells over the phone should be scared to death of this. This will further drive people from answering the phone, unless suddenly people decide they would rather talk to a computer, which would be wild.

Do you read before you post?

I specifically said it will happen. I just don't think it will happen for a long time. I would never bet against technology. Not even 80 IQ people would do that.

Yes I did, and it will happen sooner than you think, just not in the way you think.

Not through google but other providers. Ive seen the system dial on 100,000 leads and front calls, ask qualifying questions, and transfer to a live agent. It takes all information from them and can api that over as well. Like an avatar call without a human controlling it. As far as the backend stuff goes I dont see why companies would be far from using this technology, except some dont even have e apps yet so you never know LOL.

Many years ago I worked at a telemarketing company that worked for banks selling accident policies to credit card customers. At our call center there were 40 or 50 telemarketers with 4 or 5 licensed agents on the floor. We weren't allowed to stray from the script, and had scripted responses for every comment or objection. Whenever a telemarketer had an interested prospect, they switched them over to a licensed agent to finish the call. There was some kind of paperwork that the agent had to sign off on for that day's sales.

I can easily see where the bot could do everything the telemarketer was doing, then putting a licensed agent on to close.

So far, we've mostly been talking about outbound calls. I'm not so sure this wouldn't already be a no-no given the recent clarifying positions covering Avatar technology. But what about inbound calls? There are a couple of guys here on the forums that sell to people calling in from TV commercials. How might this impact them?

Ive got a guy who hits me up every day trying to sell me an inbound AI platform I made the mistake of inquiring about. It takes some effort to set up but yeah no reason a realistic human voice cant automatically do a whole inbound pitch or application or customer service call

The biggest missing link, is that all these tech companies who will try to invent something like this, still wont understand how to sell. This is final expense folks, not car insurance.

A top level salesperson would need to be in on this.

Is this possible, sure.... is something like this likely to work, probably not.
