The Typical FE Client Demographic

As a life insurance agent, I can safely say there is only one color I care about. I also feel very passionate about it. I love the color black!

Just make sure you use black ink when you sign the app and the check. Nothing ticks me off more than blue or god forbid some other color.

I like the color GREEN!

I like those toad-hides.

Wallet-lettuce

Dirty nasty germ carrying moo-lah!

Only color I care about.

Statements like this really get my goat! There is no room in the world for this kind of blatant ink-nazi sentiment. I for one say let the colors flow!

There are at least 3 things I have absolutely no tolerance for:
1. Dag gum hate mongering racists.
2.Color adverse monochromatic thinking ink-nazis.
3.Hairy faced, tie dye sportin, peace sign flashing, shiftless hippies. I say we round 'em up and ship 'em back to where their from...California:err:

I like the color black too. I wear black shirts, black pants, black belts, black socks, black shoes, and black sports coats. Sometimes all at the same time. About the only thing that I wear that isn't black is my neck ties and they have some black in them. Black is about 70% of my wardrobe.

+1
My wardrobe is mostly black too.

Dropped off two policies to my clients yesterday, one had taken out an additional LH policy and the other one an AARP, I blew them both up and canceled both over the phone with them there. Its like a battle!

I think from now on I will bring a print off of the AARP plans and the Q&A that shows premiums non-guaranteed and the term limits on policies people feel are permanent.

I carry mailers from AARP Term/WL, Globe, MO, Col Penn.
Most of the time I use those as 'comparative raters' so it helps take care of the 'shop around' objection.

To the OP, no you don't need urban/blacks to sell FE..not at all.
The trailer parks and poor ares in the sticks are excellent

Some have said that the black areas are more often to be No Chx...but I manage all my leads with software that integrates a map, so I can plot on a map all my no-sales by reason with different colored pins, and i no not see a rash of 'No Chx' in the black areas.

I do not see where this post ever turned bad towards blacks, or that they are not worth the time or anything like that

Poor Black do in fact seem to value life insurance more than their white counterparts, maybe because of general socio factors, maybe because of the violence in their streets

One thing that is cool about the projects...when you see a group of male 'youths' practicing their hard look, just walk right up and say "Hi do you know where Mammy Lee lives, i'm her insurance agent"...and you never seen a bunch of ganstas turn into consierce so fast...."yes sir, Mammy live in that building, follow me, she's right over there, Hey Mammy yo insurance man is here"

The preacher man and insurance man always get a 'free pass' in the projects...respect...et al

funny side story...i was visiting a black friend the other day, and my insurance training had me knocking instead of using the door bell. He came to the door and asked why I always knock, use the bell. I told him it was from insurance training -- salesmen ring, friends knock. I knock lightly at first...if no answer, I knock hard right near the hinges, it makes the door become a 'drum'.
He asked if I do that in black 'hoods because they'll think it's a cop. I told him hey it gets them to the door. But yes I have had a few experiences where the resident yelled through the door 'WHOISIT?" and then open the door saying 'i though you were the cops'
Heck, several times people i walk by will say 'hello officer', lol...one of these days i'm going to ask someone for an ID when they do that...

One thing I like about this insurance biz, it's one of the last places out there that still tells it like it is, and dosn't worry about PC, because instinct wins this biz, not PC.
And it's just sad to see just wild PC acusations out of nothing, in this last great frontier of anti-PC'ness, the insurance agent world. Very sad day indeed...
