Think And Grow Rich

I have read a few chapters now and I think it's good.

In the book it talks about setting goals in form of money. How much money do you want to make? Then what are you willing to give to make that money? Now set a time frame for reaching that money mark. Sounds good to me!

I am going to take the recommendations. Even though its a book that was written right after the great depression it is still valid. Especially in the insurance industry.

Exactly, we are in a great depression right now so those ideas would be very much still valid to this day.

My clients are mostly in their 50's

1. You are always moving towards your dominating thoughts.

2. Clear definite purpose.

a. How much money do you want?

b. What are you willing to give for it?

c. When will have it by?

d. Create a plan to obtain it

e. Write a statement summing all that up and
read it twice daily. Once upon waking and once
before going to bed.

3. Faith and how to create faith.

I hate getting up early but since reading this
I am up everyday @ 7 am and working 10 hour days.

That is what I'm willing to give. My goal is $30,000 per month.

One more thought...
Ambition is personal gain at the SERVICE of many.

Greed is personal gain at the EXPENSE of many.

Greed is BAD. Ambition is GOOD.

This was one of the suggested readings at my old insurance company.
"Thoughts are things" was a new concept to me.

My problem is I GROW then I THINK RICH. My waist grows, my pants size grows, and I think about being rich but it's only a thought. That can be turned around, though. Never give up.

I haven't been here in a while been suffering horrible anxiety attacks etc...but wanted to get back here and say Hi etc...

I saw you posted and I thought "it's kinda nice to see him back".

Hope you're being sarcastic.

If not, hope all gets better :)

Thank you for your well wishes Josh...

I wish I was joking...I worked the 1st 2 weeks of Feb. and
moved about $250,000 in Fia business. I had set a goal to make
$30,000 per month every month. I found that goal was on pace
and seemed to be easy and within grasp with focus. I need to do
roughly $500,000 a month to hit that goal.

Then one day I just started having panic attacks.
I was completely paralyzed in stress and fear for
no apparent reason.

I spent like three weeks in bed avoiding life thinking
I was going to die etc...I had a nervous breakdown
like 4 years ago when my wife and I separated
and suddenly it just came back. We have two young
kids.

I assume it was from being assaulted. It is kind of a
PTSD thing I think. I am doing better now but haven't really
been working. I have just been playing video games and
servicing current clients. It sucks because I really want to
get back on pace.

On the positive side I now know what I am capable of when
focused.
