Top 3 FMO's

Last Saturday night you were pumped 1 of your guys ran 24 appointments. I made a smart ass comment that I hoped he wrote 2k in AP. For the record, if I ever book 24 appts and only write 2k..I f'ing quit. He had 17 sits, 4 apps for just over 2k in AP. Dude needs to work on his presentation.

And Ben helped on my presentation. And I didn't quit. Glad to see who perseveres when the cards are on the table. ;)

A few points about Thad's comments: Thad posted-Last I checked FEX does NOT have the leads in any way, they point you in the direction of leads. But your marketer talk lauded to new agents that they in fact have, generate and offer leads. You misspoke which is fine but god forbid anyone points your flaws out. It's true that we do not own a mail house or telemarketing company. But I see that as an advantage. There is no place that has better leads than the free market. The best lead vendors competing for the agent's business. We teach the agents where to get the best ones, what makes one better than another and how to avoid the scams and rip offs. We show the agents where the leads are comming from and we are one of the few FMOs that does not profit from selling our agents leads. If we wanted to buy the leads and sell them to the agents like most FMOs we would appear more exclusive. But we choose to empower the agents with knowledge. We don't try to keep the agents from finding out which lead house their leads are comming from. I don't know of any FMO other than Equita that produces their own mail leads. A few such as yourself do produce your own telemarketing leads but you have admitted that the agents can't rely on those as their only lead source every week unless they want to travel. Thad posted- I know first hand the offer contracts as low as they can get away with, like everyone else, and yes they can a do have high contracts but it's not the first pass just like everyone else. I don't know where you get this first hand knowledge but it's incorrect. All agents who come to us get the same contract levels unless they have huge production history. We do not lowball agents. Every one of our agents has at a minimum TransAmerica/Monumental at 115, Mutual of Omaha at 115, Oxford at 120, Settlers at 110, RNA at 105, 5-Star at 110, Assurity at 110, American Memorial at 110, Americo at 115, Trinity Life/Family Benefit at 110, etc. these are our street levels and not a single agent has less. There is no offer of less. Most are posted right on our website and have been for several years. Yes they offer releases without question if you haven't produced with said company, but if you have it's a little more difficult, I agree with it but your marketer talk alludes differently to new agents. Any agent that has ever requested a release has been given one with no problem. It doesn't matter if they have sold or not as long as the new FMO signs his acceptance of the contract and will be responsible for any future debts. We use the same release form for accepting agents as we do for releasing them. If you know of any cases where any agent thinks they have been treated unfairly about commission levels or releases (coming or going) I am definitely unaware of it and would like to know.

As always Newby is top notch.

:)

I'm glad you didn't quit either man. It's just not genuine to come on here bragging about an agent you trained running 24 appts and well ya know.

You can "effort" yourself to death in sales...I want the cream, only the cream...when the cream is gone, I move to the next town

Yes we will become known as "The Locust Brothers"

I really think my main problem I see with FEX is the "Monkey Dust" and can't get this or that unless you are with us. This forum is for sharing ideas and helping fellow agents. Comments like, hey you should have been on the call this morning, that was a VERY GOOD tip about replacing AARP!!! Then Joe Blow agent asks what the tip was, oh you have to be with us to get that. Ok well if that is how it is, don't come on here talking about it. That is hidden recruiting trying to get people to want to come there. If you want to recruit, it does not bother me at all, but please come straight out and say it. Don't use tricky tactics. Do I have agents under me? Sure do! Do I contact them to contract with me, sure don't. I get on here and help anyone that I can if I can. I have had agents reach out to ME! But if I decided I wanted to start recruiting on here, I would put it in plain writing!
I really like most of the people I have talked to that are with FEX and I am in no way bashing them. JD asked to point out the things that they could make better, and this is one big one to me. I don't look at agents as my competition. If your license says Life Insurance on it, guess what...You ARE on my team in my eyes. I will help you in ANYWAY I can.
Fex wants to keep the "Monkey Dust" to themselves and the whole time I have been field training a FEX agent this entire week in Huntsville Alabama. He called me up this weekend asking me a couple questions and needing some help with a presentation and I told him that he was more than welcome to ride with me all week and get some guidance. He said well I would but I like FEX and don't have a problem with them. I told him I didn't care what company he was with and I am not worried one bit about him transferring to me. I just wanted to help him learn how to make money PERIOD!
I bring this up because I have heard said here that field training is not as helpful as a Friday call. He has been on the calls and trust me he has learned a lot more in this one week than he has since he started in insurance. I say that for one last closing comment...Just because you don't offer something, do not knock it. I offer field training, and I feel it is extremely helpful! But guess what, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the idea of the Friday calls. They are helpful to agents also. Just because you don't offer one thing, don't knock another company that does. FEX has A LOT of good things to offer and an agent will be very happy there. Are they the BEST IMO out there? That is impossible because every agent is different. They will be the best for some and not the best for others....NO ONE will ever be the BEST IMO. Just like one insurance company will never be the BEST! They might be the best for diabetics but suck for COPD.
Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to point out the hidden tactics and "Captive" mentality to get help. I can understand not wanting to give out your secrets, but 2 things...not one thing anyone has is exclusive. Someone else before your time has used/said the same thing. And also if you are not willing to give out your "Monkey Dust" or helpful presentation or script ect, then the only reason you would be on an Insurance Forum would be to recruit correct?

I'm going to let you in a little secret, monkey dust is a frickin joke. Dan Runge and I started it several years ago as a way to make fun of agents that wanted an "easy button".

The ones that believe there is something the successful agents are doing that is top secret. Thus, "monkey dust" sprinkled on the leads.

It's so utterly amazing that anyone would believe that there is such a thing as monkey dust.:laugh:

That that was the first week I got to meet with Ben and go over my presentation and everything else. I actually made all of those sells after tweaking my presentation with Ben.

Not every new agent is going to make 4k off 10 sits starting out.

I have changed what needed to be changed and next week I will kill it. I actually ran 2 apts Monday and made the same off those two as the week before.

Ben simply stated he was out field training and was pumped I had that many apts and sits being that my sit ratio has been jacked up.

It wasn't bragging.

No dog in the fight. But I read his post and it was anything but a "full frontal assault."

You FEX guys are so sensitive.
