Trans Question?

If anyone's on inhalers for asthma id write with another company .

You can still get them through but you need to ask and document how many times per month do they use the inhaler. Frequent fills and daily use Trans seems to assume COPD. But if you write asthma it will sometimes go through as preferred. I find with Trans it seems to help if you put the Doctor's name, address, and phone on the supplemental form.

That being said, I had listed Metoprolol on an app and forgot to say it was prescribed for hypertension. The app was held up and I had to confirm it was not prescribed for irregular heart rhythm. I didn't even know Metoprolol was used for AFIB. I don't think it is, actually. Then again, I may have missed that day in Med school. If fact, I think I missed them all ... so what do I know.

Plenty of asthma friendly companies to put them with instead of trying to force it through Transamerica

Bingo baseball . I've had too many people tell me they use there inhalers now and then and bang Trans comes back Standard . Since no phone interview i have to go back out and rewrite . Anyone with an inhaler for asthma I write else were . If you use less than once a month Trinity will approve . What are some other carriers who approve for Asthma even if they use the inhaler a lot ?

I fully expect to get a "not in good order" note from them on this sometime soon.:twitchy:
I am too old I think for Trans I submitted an application Monday. I actually used a ruler to go down the pages o make sure I did not miss one of those tiny boxes. my eyes miss.someimes. Just checked pending. "not in good order" It My mistake? I signed replacement form but did not print my name clear enough. correct, resign and current date. Also refax as fax full application as it wasnt clear enough So I am too old to deal with this company. I cant figure why they are in the insurance business.

I have it on good authority the new product is going to have a build chart but be unified underwriting for all ages. Honestly it sounds like they're becoming more and more useless if they're getting rid of a valid niche they had.

For me * depends on what the build table looks like. Assuming they keep the 45-85 underwriting.

TA's problems are solved with modernized application process (e-app, instant decision, telephone interview, etc.).

I get the impression its instant decision w/an option to refer to UW. I fully expect a rate increase to.
