Transamerica Issues

Is anyone writing them? Are they issuing business timely?

Underwriting is pretty good actually, I recently had 2 apps approved within a week. For those who work with the latinamerican market who have ITIN's, they also started accepting that recently.[/QUOTE]

I have complained about them loudly and often, but they do approve a lot of apps, that would be declines elsewhere, so they have continued to be indispensable.

The most irritating thing to me is the number of signatures that you have to collect, if using a paper app, with clients that don't have email. Some people would handle that situation a different way, but I don't have the guts.

I'm calling Transamerica today and the automated system is so IRRITATING.

"Hold time is between 25 and 30 minutes" :jiggy::jiggy::jiggy:

I 100% agree with you, I hate hearing that "We Apologize for the Delay..." message every 20 - 40 seconds, not to mention the annoying voice of the woman in the recording.

I really believe that the company is either being run by a complete bunch of incompetent morons or that they are purposely trying to "tank" it!

Another word of caution regarding KSKJ... It seems they have a difficult time keeping their books straight and agents keep catching commission mistakes.

That there is a major red flag for me. :skeptical:

It seems like whatever issue they were having, it got fixed. I submitted an IUL and followed up today at 9am PST and they picked up very, very quickly.

I think most of the problems are occurring in the FE unit. I have a friend that writes a bit of "ordinary" and has no problems but when he writes an FE, it seems to be one problem after another.

Here’s what’s really bad....couple days ago I’m in a house with a lady that wants to add some coverage. F,69,NT,preferred.She says she has 10k taken out within the last year but can’t find the policy. Doesn’t know who it’s with, the house is a disaster....usual FE client. After digging up her bank statement,it’s Trans,$79 a month. Numbers don’t add up. Hmmm.I would like to call and find out what she has......but under their current CS circumstances, insane hold times.....no way.

I ended up writing her another 5k LBL preferred and bailed. Told her to dig up the policy and call me so we could go over it.

I remember the heyday with Trans when they were getting in a 1000 apps a day . I bet its crickets now as most agents have bolted . I did do a direct express the other week and i noticed they advance on it which i don’t want .
