Trouble Getting Cov/Aetna Supplies

Is that a trick question? Are you secret shopping us already?
I was just quizzing Chaz a little to see if he works year round or only three months out of the year.

----------

If you can't wait for your supplies, and your Ready to Sell, you can find and print everything you need online.

Summary of Benefits, formulary, enrollment form, etc.

Unless they've made a change from prior years, you can't use printed or copied Coventry apps. They each have a code on them and that is the way they are tracked.

Started reading those enrollment kits and just noticed this: a question about race/ethnicity!! So now we're into census taking?

Check out that Aetna enrollment form...

Also new...name of dental provider and id number wth?

Must be nice to have enrollment kits. I finished everything on August 5th and still can't get anything.

Coventry has always had that and I've always left it blank. Not sure if that's for some extra dental plan or what

Has anyone else noticed that when you call Aetna broker support, you get Coventry people? Who bought whom? Why is Coventry in control of this mess?

Well, I believe I've been lied to. By whom, I am not sure. I went through all the Certifications, passed all the tests. Now, nobody is taking responsibility for the full AHIP reimbursement.

I call Ryan Murchie, at Jack Schroeder and Associates, and he tells me to contact the local DM here for Aetna, who is Marc Montaturo. I have left two messages for Marc, and have not gotten a call back.

You know the old expression, if it's too good to be true...

Oh, well.
:1baffled:

They paid for my AHIP, but I still don't have 'ready to sell.' I would have gladly paid for AHIP if it meant being able to write apps next week.

I received an email from Aetna/Coventry back in July. Here's what it said:

Congrats! You've been selected to receive free 2015 Individual Medicare annual certification, which includes AHIP training

We're pleased to kick off our 2015 annual certification process for Aetna and Coventry Individual Medicare products (MA, MAPD, PDP).

Because you sold 10 or more Individual Medicare plans (MA, MAPD, PDP) during the 2014 Annual Election Period (October 15 – December 7, 2013), you've qualified for free 2015 certification!

If you didn't get one of those emails, you may be SOL. In the past, Coventry would reimburse agents if they wrote a certain number of MAPD plans so maybe they'll do that for you. But even if they don't, I would just consider AHIP to be a cost of doing business.

Funny that you mention not hearing back from Marc. I emailed him on 09/15 and have yet to get a response. The Coventry rep has emailed and returned calls. Not always in a timely manner, but they are being overwhelmed with calls and emails from reps waiting to get their ready to sell emails. I got mine over the weekend. It only took two months from the time I finished everything (re-contracting, online certification and local meeting) to get my ready to sell.

I heard from an FMO last week who said they heard there was a backlog of 20,000 agents re-contracting paperwork at Aetna/Coventry. Needless to say, many of these agents are calling their local reps for assistance. That's probably why Marc hasn't called you nor emailed me.
