From my last 21 appointments, 14 where no shows!!!!!!

I recently changed to a new appointment setter, she is great, gets me 4 appointments a day like clockwork, however, getting loads of no shows.

With my old appointment setter, I also got no shows, about 25%, since spring, it has gotten worse, people are out in the weather.

I have a great closing ratio, hard working appointment setter, should be a WIN.

I'm having doubts over the whole business, if the people dont show to the appointment, how am I supposed to sell.

Maybe part of the reason is, I am dealing with ghetto Brooklyn NY, it might be the quality of the people???? dont know.

I had an appointment setter for sometime. Looks like we're having a reverse problem. She didn't set as many appointments as I would like, but they did stick.

Now, I set my own appointments. I can set them, and they stick. Very rarely do I get a no show. If so, I just come back later, no biggie. Or I have somewhere to go to pass the time.

Are you listening to her calls? It sounds like they really don't want to meet you but won't tell her no.

One thing I've seen help a great deal is asking for some basic information and giving a confirmation number. It doesn't have to be much, but in my experience that extra step or two goes a long way.

Yep.

I let go my appointment setter a few months ago and picked up a new one 4 weeks ago.

My God what a world of difference.

I was probably getting a 50% show rate with the first -- now it's more like 75% to 80% -- and you can tell the difference, too.

My recommendation is to let this person go and find another. ELance has plenty of talent waiting to be hired.

Otherwise, do it yourself.

My upline just told me, he had a lot of agents running leads in Brooklyn, that had the same issue with the no shows, I guess its the people.

Last summer I ordered leads from lower Manhattan, the appointments did stick better, the reason I started Brooklyn was, because Manhattan has Chinatown in the Zipcodes, never got a sale from them, in Brooklyn I focused & got African Americans, when they show, they are an easy sell, I guess you cant have the cake & eat it too.

I am giving Brooklyn another 2 days, if no shows continue, I am back to Manhattan.

My friend recommended the Apt. setter, she is great for him, so its not her, its Brooklyn:laugh:

Add one line: Mrs Jones , This is a very important appointment that could mean saving thousands for your family,Can I count on you to honor this appointment? if something comes up will you call and reschedule?

I wouldn't try that at all. Just asking a few questions and giving them a confirmation code firms up the appointment without giving them enough pressure to say "well nevermind".

No reason to not try it both ways, but from experience the confirmation code helps a bunch and doesn't hurt the tone of the call any. The closer you get to "have your checkbook open when he gets there" the more good prospects you'll turn off.
