WalMart Medicare Advantage Marketing Coming Very Soon

Allstate sold Insurance at a kiosk in Sears and Roebuck for many, many years. It worked pretty well for them.

Sears and Roebuck started and owned Allstate for many years. As far as I know WalMart does not own Humana or anything like that.

Hey, WalMart is now selling best-seller books online for $9.00 with free shipping. It's scaring the hell out of Amazon.com. At first WalMart was charging $10.00 and Amazon met that price, so WalMart reduced the price to $9.00. Amazon just followed suit. Also, WalMart.com is selling other books at 50% off list price. I think they (WalMart) are just about taking over everything. They'll probably have their own insurance company soon, just like they have their own bank!

I want to thank you all for your comments. I will see how this goes and look at other ways to market for medicare. I will also check out F Stassney for some other contracts. And will keep you informed how it goes.

They are supposedly doing advertising for Tuesdays so Tuesday, Wed, Thurs should have some flow, we'll see.

Oh and the fellow who supposedly had all those booths ended up losing them to Benefit Mall because of some thing or the other.
He had 150 agents apply and they only accepted around 30 and he seemed to be setting them up as IMOs. Anyway I found another company and .... well we'll see.

As far as the math I figured it out and it was about 5 a day 6 days a week so as my father always said "maybe you went to a different math school than me". Now that was within the 5 months.

OK I'm ready for another deluge.

Thanks again,

ACR

I'm doing the WalMart thing here in Ohio. While it's not what they advertise it to be it is an opportunity for me to get new business.

BOB THE INSURANCE GUY SAID- "Am I the only one here who has a problem with this, ethically?"
================================================

I dont know if "ethically" is the word you want to use. I think the biggest problem with this is its so un-professional. How do you look like a professional who knows what they are doing sitting in a booth at Walmart? No self respecting agent with an ounce of pride and two nickels in his pocket would be caught dead sitting in one of those Walmart booths! In fact you could not pay me enough to suffer the humiliation of sitting in one of those booths at Walmart.

My Dear Yoda, once again, you make Michael Moore look like Albert Einstein.
I am an "un-professional", humiliated, agent with absolutely zero self respect who did work a Walmart booth two seasons ago in a small town in Northwest Florida.
I could go into discussing all the decent people I met during my stint there, but I would be wasting my time on an ignoramus like you.

My prayers are with you that Michael Moore's democrat docs can find a cure for your terminal cerebral recumitis.
All my best to your wife! ;)

All my best to your wife! ;)

That reminds me of a very tough individual health presentation to a husband/wife. He was a moron, but thought he knew it all. Kinda like Yoda. After being interupted time and time again, insulted over and over as an agent and the industry as a whole I calmly made eye contact with his embarassed wife, closed the book, stood, and said:

"I'm very sorry, but we can't do business. I've been here for twenty minutes and this moron (pointing at her husband) has drove me crazy... You're married to him and have to deal with him day after day. Good bye."

If you get right down to it, the majority of the people that walk into a Walmart in the 1st place are not too sharp. Kind of like the majority of the people in the state of Alabama, right Yoda..... yada, yada, yada.

Ethical ??? Who cares anyway ? Going door to door for ANYTHING is degrading and crappy as far as I am concerned. Sit in the toilets and wait for them to come ask about insurance as long as you are comfortable and making it worth your while, AND you are helping someone that NEEDS your help.

Yeah, I'm with you. These people need help, too.
