WalMart Medicare Advantage Marketing Coming Very Soon
Somebody key up the song "desperado" for all these poor agents having to sit in those booths at Walmart to sell insurance!
I sat a booth last week for 4 hours and got 6 sales. I would have never gotten them without the booth. 3 of the sales were from Wal-Mart employees.

Actually last week was pretty good for me . . . 3 appointments w/husband & wife . . new to medicare; 2 others interesting in taking a look at another plan. For time expended, it was a decent return.

6 Humana drug plans at 22 bucks a shot = 142 bucks yipeee lets throw a ticker tape parade! Oh my bad I forgot about the 90 bucks a year renewals.
Personally I would just rather sit down on the phone in the comfort of my own fine office and call off a list for an hour or two and bag me a medicare supplement sale and collect my 144 bucks that way. Sure telemarketing sucks but at least your old high school buddies are not walking down the shoe isle giggling about how successful you look sitting in that booth at Walmart. Of course you would have to know how to sell and be good at it to bag that sale off the phone in an hour or two so if you dont have that option I guess sitting in Walmart taking orders at a insurance booth might be better then a kick in the ass. I am sorry!

Hmmm 6 MA plans = $2400 for 4 hours of sitting at Wal-Mart not a bad half days work. Can't do that cold calling it is against the rules. And the only thing it cost him is his 4 hours of time!

1 employee app written in the store during their lunch and 1 walk-in write-up. The other 4 were hus/wife plans who I went and saw that same day at their homes. My shift was from 11-3. Other days have been slower.
