Website "Description" Question...

For the website experts...

Please tell me why this happens with me (not very often, of course):

After I have written an entry for my website, I will, of course, include the key word I am targeting in the description. But sometimes, when I check to see how I'm ranking by searching on Google, I will notice that the first few lines of my article are in the description, and not what I originally entered.

And of course, the first few lines may not be as targeted as the "Description" that I originally wrote.

Make sense?

Google uses profiling techniques to identify you as a trouble maker. Google earth knows your every move.

Meta description tags do not always appear in search results. Google will show the text snippet which it "thinks" represents the actual user search string the best.

With introduction of personalized & local search features in Google, you are guaranteed not to see the same results as John Doe from Wright City. Your previous Google search for a different KW will also come into effect, as Google build a pattern for your personalized search results.
