What company sent out this notification to their agents? The announcement was posted on FB under the title MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT FROM A BIG PROVIDER OF MORTGAGE PROTECTION AND FINAL EXPENSE.

We will not advance on policies where more than 2 policies are drafted from the same account.

If the Payor is someone other than the insured, we will not advance commissions unless there is an insurable interest (Parent, Spouse, Child)

I do not get it. I am assuming persistence?

Those are my best clients.

Placed the 5th policy in a house yesterday. all within 4 months. SNL and MoO. Am Ewriting 3 tomorrow the same house. I have two parents and had two in-laws (claims) on the same account. So that would have been 7.

However, the question was why do this. Family business is strong business in my opinion.

Any of these rules stem from bad agents pushing through bad business, usually.

I've not had enough coffee to figure it out yet. But I'm sure it's the case.

I am sure you are correct. Does not have an effect on me with Americo. Just seemed like a strange move. I would guess agents work around will be to place some of the business with other companies. Or just take the as earned.
